Is there any way I can put some high performance limbs like Morrison on a DAS handle ? I have had a shoulder injury and have to drop down in poundage and I like my DAS handle..I don't care about the cost..

3Rivers sells a DAS to ILF conversion plate, so I'm saying - yes you can.

All you have to do is put DAS bushings in the limbs. Morrison can do that, I'm sure.

I would put the bushings in the limbs. Looks better, works better, costs less.

The 3Rivers fix works just fine and allows you to choose any ILF limb you like.

A simple bushing swap would let him use any limb he likes too.

Really easy to swap the bushings out. In my opinion, a more solid connection. Though to be fair, never had a problem with the ILF connections.

Please explain this “really easy” way to change out I’ll to das bushings?

I do know how to swap the bushings but without some sort of a press to push out the inner part of I’ll bushing from limb it is not an easy job.

Rick,

Am I seeing that right, there's lateral limb adjustment on those adapters? If so, excellent decision on the part of 3 Rivers.

So is the adaptor 3 Rivers sells something I can do myself?

are the Morrison limis good limbs??

From: George D. Stout Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

JR, yes you can do it yourself. There are many good limbs, including the cheaper imported limbs. Morrison limbs are great as are Dryad, and a whole bunch of others. You just have to realize how good by shooting them well. ;)) You will do just fine with whatever you get.

So could I take my riser and add the 3 rivers adaptor and use Morrison limb?

From: 1buckurout
Date: 27-Mar-19

Dr. J.R.,

Yes, you can add the 3R ILF plate to your riser and use any ILF limb.

I doubt you have the specific head needed to take the bolts out of the riser (at least the first time). Not a big deal as any machine shop could pop them for a couple bucks.

Hey Jason, yes they have the LLA built into them.

That's why I've decided, if I do another conversion I am going to use the 3R's plates to do it.

From what I can see, they should be easily adapted to anything you want to put them on.

I don't plan on modifying the limbs. From what I understandt once the adaptor is placed any limbs will fit

That is correct, and having the LLA's (Later Limb Alignment) screws is a huge plus in my book.

If you have a vise and a set of wrench sockets you can press bushings in out out with ease. To remove use a larger-than-the bushing socket to 'catch' and a smaller-than-the bushing socket to push. Pressing a new bushing in is even simpler.

That should have read (Lateral Limb Alignment).

They are worth their weight in gold. 8^)

Yes, it's easy to swap out the ILF bushings. I've done it no telling how many times by just knocking them out with a piece of old arrow shaft & a hammer, and knocking the new ones in with that same hammer & a small block of wood.

The das fittings screw takes a t40 bit, this countersunk screw is all that holds the das and ilf pads to the riser. Or for $25 more you can buy the stainless replacement screws and theyre all allen key. Id prefer the ilf pads myself. Then no need to swap limb bushing if you have several sets of limbs and other ilf risers. That could become a pain real quick.

Where can i get the T-40 bit? Is it something that fits in a socket of a screwdriver. I would imagine something in a socket would be easier.

From: Phil Magistro

You can buy a Torx 40 bit at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon... It will fit into the socket of a screwdriver.

From: Brian waters
Date: 01-Apr-19

I would advise to get the bit that comes in a 3/8" socket and use a ratchet, speed handle or a breaker bar. My bolts were in pretty tight and i needed the extra leverage. I got my t40 @ lowes.

From: SB

I think you are going to need a torx bit that fits on a 3/8 ratchet. Hard to get really tight stuff loose with a screwdriver!

So I want to adapt my Moorrison ILF limbs to my DAS plates.,so Dana C you think I can do this myself? I once had three Rivers do it for a lighter set of limbs. They were Set up,for ILF and they did it for me.,I need to learn how to do it. Who sells what I. need to swap out the bushings?

From: Dan In MI
Date: 07-Aug-19

Do you know anybody that reloads ammo? A reloading press works fine for pressing out the ILF bushing to replace with DAS bushings.

There are dozens of other ways too, but your questions tell me that a genuine press of some sort would be best.

Definitely get a 3/8 drive T-40 if you go that route. 40 is too large for a screwdriver bit.

From: JRW
Date: 07-Aug-19

Like others have said, you can swap the buchings in the limbs or the plates on the riser. Since the ILF plates have lateral limbs adjustment, that would be my choice.

I do

I Have the DAS plates on the bow now. I want to put the DAS plates back on which I can do. I want to change the bushings On the Morrison limbs to fit on the DAS To quiet it down.

Morrison can make your limbs with a DAS adapter. I have Max 4's on my DAS.
