Today Craig(Monkeyball) and I (Homey88) had are second annual scout/rove today in Bald Eagle State Forest here in PA. Last year after our scouting trip into the mountains Craig and I both caught the flu bug. This years trip was not without adversity.

Once we got to the woods we decided to check out a field then head to the top of the mountain to check out a saddle. Along the way we encountered some boulder fields, some rubs, and some tracks along the way. Found a old permanent treestand, and an illegal hang on stand. Craig took along his bow and made some great shots. It was a great time in the woods and some great scenery. And I only fell twice! Enjoy the pictures! Thanks for going along Craig and thanks for looking at the pictures.

This is one of the sections we came down over. We climbed from the bottom up to 1925 ft in elevation. And yes there were deer tracks in amongst this section of the boulders.

Beautiful Country! Thanks for letting Us Tag along...I have a question though...being from 'Out West" when you mentioned an "Illegal" Hang on tree Stand...is it Illegal because of the screw in steps or why?...Just wondering...Thanks again for the Trip...4finger

great pics! amazing how those deer wander around in those rocks, lots of folks think because its rough for them to walk, the deer won't go there, NOT TRUE! although they do tend to go out around the solid talus slopes of nothing but jumbled rock, they have no problem whatsoever picking their way up most rocky mountainsides, in fact some old mt buck actually seem to prefer those rocky slopes to bed in, look at as cover and it sheds a whole new light on it.
Enjoy the Bald Eagle, lots of room to roam, and very scenic as well.

oh somebody asked the question about deer eating mt laurel? They do not, mt laurel is worthless as deer food, they may eat it if they are starving but that's about it.
Thanks again for the pics!
