Trilam standing up is osage belly, red elm core lam, backed with boo.

Same bow as in vice all shiny.

Bow with pretty curly maple hand has osage, black walnut backed with boo.

Yew stave is sitting in tiller tree.

That's great RC. MOst of the time I work alone. Sometimes a couple of my buddies come over, but they usually just watch. One has a stave I gave him that we work on from time to time. I've always enjoyed every time I got to meet with another bowyer.

Your shop doesn't appear all that big but it is extremely well organized. Good job on the bow also!

Thanks guys, been making bows for 17 years.

I tiller for equal limb timing and don't worry about if there is a positive or negative tiller on the bow when completed.

The tree video, I want the pull rope to travel straight down the black vertical line on the wall.

That tells me both limbs are bending in sync.

If one limb is stronger than the other, the pull rope will "always" drift towards the stronger limb.

I then scrape some wood off the stronger limb to get the pull rope back onto tracking the line.

I exercise the bow 30 times after each scraping/sanding sequence.

It takes a while pulling the bow for the limbs to readjust to what wood material I just removed.

A bow tillered for equal limb timing is a sweet smooth drawing very quiet and accurate shooting bow.

Its a lot more fun with a crew of buddies to around. Not that I don't like working alone, but buddies make it better.
