I'll look around in my broadhead stash if I have any left I'll give you Paul, but think the few I had are now gone... Might try posting over on Bowsite main equipment forum, there's more traffic over there and maybe somebody over there might be able to help... Mike Sohm of Magnus posts over there every once in a while, and even sometimes here... He may have some stashed away to part with, or maybe try contacting him directly... Good luck...

I'm down to a dozen of them. I wish ACE made such a screw in broadhead to come in around 125-grains. Not many choices out there. The next best seems to be the Zwickey Eskalite at 135-grains, but they actually weigh in at 150-grains. I may just use the standard 12-grain insert so I can use the Eskalite?

I shoot broadheads all the time, roving, stump shooting, shooting into the sand pit at the house. I was starting to get short in MA1s because of loss or an occasional rock.
As a solution I ordered a 100 of the Tusker Deltas from Australia. They are a very good reasonable facimile to the MA1. They are not quite as strong but they fly identically and it has allowed me to keep the Magnus heads for more serious applications.
I know it is not the solution you asked for but I just offer it up, "just in case".
Regards to all, Dan

loghouse. I'm just curious when you shoot broadheads into stumps do ya cary a hammer & screwdriver or what ? I can't imagine that beying enjoyable. I do understand that I take my practice a bit more serious when shooting broadheads & I read an article written by Paul Schaefer & he liked to practice with broadheads as well however he didn't mention shooting stumps

What about Paul's catalogs too. Nothing was better them was the days.
Tinks, Screaming Eagles stands, Big Horn Bows, Custom Kings arrows with the tapered nock ends just to name a few.
Paul is a Legend also I feel.
Not talking about our Bear bows or arrows or heads they weren't custom. the other items were.
The stands you could hand a VW off of or was that really real and not fake news Paul?

It was real about the VW. the funny part if I remember he had several Elk hanging there and got flak about that! Imagine that. About the same time PETA was attacking trapping and the world first started tilting off it's axis.
Think back about how radical PETA was then and COMMON people blew them off because of it. Then they went after the buyers. Spray painting people wearing furs etc they couldn't outlaw trapping but shamed people with radical ideas till they no longer wore furs. No body bought furs so no market and trapping became obsolete.
Now look at America today. Same thing happening. AND PETA IS TAKING NOTES THINKING WE HAVE A CHANCE AGAIN NOW THAT RADICAL ACTIONS PRODUCE RESULTS.

Still looking for Magnus heads, guys and gals! I have found very few, but some. Someone emailed me that there was a swap page somewhere in the bow site, but I'm way too challenged technically to figure out how to find it.
I'm still alive and it in great shape for an old fart. Took three bull Elk last September for the first time in my life. New Mexico, Wyoming, and Montana. All with Wolverine Long Bow!
I REALLY NEED MAGNUS HEADS!!!!!!!!

I need the 125 grain and the wider ones. Can't remember the nomenclature, but they are about 135 grains or so. Glue on for wood shafts. I am begging on bended knee. I may be old, but I need enough of the heads to hunt for another 20 years or so....
I have neat stuff to swap, too. Always remember that short guys are like Royalty...you need to be really nice to them! HA!

I keep bringing this to the top just HOPING someone new sees it and tells me he or she has 6 dozen for trade! So far, ain't working. This is like trying to win the Power Ball.
Wife, Karen, had major foot surgery in January. Just started walking in a boot. VERY painful!!! Couldn't go to New Zealand this winter, so I have been building self bows like a maniac! Turning out some beauties. If I weren't so technically challenged, I would post some photos. Building self bows and sinew backed bow is one of the finest hobbies I know. Hunting with them and stone points has got to be the biggest rush in bowhunting!

Paul, I had one of your selfbows in my hands a while back, 15 years ago or more, and it was well made. You do nice work. I seem to remember it was black locust and had some animal tracks painted on it, but maybe it was osage.
I do have a few dozen Magnus heads, but I scarfed them up because they're my favorites too.

The Wolverine was, indeed, a bow that Dave built for me and a couple of other folks. No one knows who designed it, I'm afraid. The guy who gave me the design was one of the worst BS artists on the planet. He claimed to have designed it, but he couldn't design a stick for toasting marshmallows!
Dave built me 6 of them, if memory serves me correctly and told me that he would only build them for me and close personal hunting buddies. I have a bunch of great longbows, but the Wolverine is at the very top of the list. Drove a 1,040 grain arrow right through two ribs on a massive Water Buffalo in Australia. Severed BOTH ribs. Bull was down in maybe 15 seconds!

I'm still looking, but want to thank those of you who responded. Some of you know that I build Self Bows and Sinew Backed Plains Indian style bows. I've been stuck in Montana all winter due to my wife having a nasty surgery on her foot. Good thing she sleeps late. Been gettin up at 4:00 each morning and building bows. I've built 18 since her January surgery and have another 20 or so cut out and ready to play with. The reward of building a beautiful bow that shoots like gang busters is hard to describe!!!!!!! Learn to do it if you want a great hobby. Taking an Elk or Deer with a bow you built is amazing!

Been out of computer range for a LONG time. Still looking for Magnus glue on heads, two blade. I really need the 140 (or maybe it's 145 grain) heads. I am now able to answer emails. [email protected]
(I did NOT choose that email address. My son, Lad, did. when he told me over the phone that was my email address, I said to him, "I'm not a Mrs. I'm a Mr." He said, and I quote, "It's MISSES kudu, dad!" Dang...I should never have told him how many Kudu I missed before I finally got one!)

Need to clerify this so everyone understand- magnus broadheads which I started in August of 1984 is very much alive and well- the traditional glue on two blade broadhead line was sold in 2010. This line was sold to thundervalley archery- I donot know anything about what thundervalley is doing with the line- however I do know the line they purchased was the magnus classic line and Rothar snuffer broadhead line.
In the last two weeks I have gotten numerous emails and calls on this- WE ARENOT going to buy the traditional magnus classic line back or the Rothaar snuffer line back from thundervalley and make them again. Secondly and i intend no disrespect to anyone when I make this statement , but I have also gotten calls from people wanting to know the ins and outs of manufacturing the two blade magnus classic line and rothaar snuffer. I will not answer these questions if you call me-as again we sold these lines 10 years ago. The one thing I will say is if for some reason you do buy the magnus classic line from thundervalley you can only use the magnus classic name and not magnus broadheads name as we have registered trademarks on our magnus name and logos as well has patents on our current line of broadheads. Thank you
