I haven’t found much info either. I’ve owned all the other models back when Bill Foreman was building them. All were great shooters. The Wichita Swift long curve TD is a nice option at $590. From what the bowyer says, its a Swift long curve stripped down to save money on a good hunting bow.

Hopefully you’ll get some reviews from someone who actually owns one.

You’d think someone has shot one. RMS Gear has s few of them in stock, it looks like a pretty sweet bow.

I have one coming and I’ll let you know my thoughts. I have the Wichita Swift Long Curve T/D coming, which is just a stripped down version with diamond wood riser. I like the specs and style of these bows.

I owned one and it shot really well. Owned the one piece B model and liked it even more.

The Great Plains Wichita Swift long curve came in a couple days ago. I’ve been shooting it some. First off, I like it a ton more than the regular long curve I had, and I like the old long curve.

First thing I noticed was the weight in the riser. A combination of the takedown system and a 22” dymondwood riser, it put some weight just where it needs to be. Limbs are bamboo core and black glass...back and belly. A very classy looking bow. Very stable and quiet shooting curve. An 8 1/4- 8 1/2” brace height is recommended. I have it at 8.5” and it’s feels good. Very smooth drawing all the way to my 30” draw.

The only drawback and it isn’t the bow, it’s my bow hand. The arrow is right at the hand, which most folks desire that, but my fat hand “puffs” up when I draw and the feather nick me on the shot. I’ve adjusted the nock, etc. it is what it is. I’m going to play with it a little more.

The bow is 58”, 45# @ 28”. Great length, that draws very smooth. Riser is cut to center, and has shot every arrow I have..very forgiving to spine and not picky.

I definitely recommend this bow. Here’s a few pics.

turn the cock feather inwards and usually the nicking will go away

stick a feather rest and that will help with your paw, nice looking bow.

A feather would work well to avoid hand contact. But just using a thicker material on the rest area should alleviate the contact.

I stopped by Great Plains Traditional Bow Co. today on my way home from vacation. The owner Shane Unrue is a super nice guy. He took time to show me some of the in-stock bows and answered a lot of questions. I was not actually looking for a new bow, I just wanted to stop by a take a look around. I shot one of his long bows, which I can not remember the name of, but he did say it was a survival model. Great shooting bow. I shot the Swift Long Curve two piece and was completely blown away. Not only was the bow super fast, with an extremely smooth draw, it shot arrows that did not match like darts. I have never shot a bow that shot and felt as good! I can not express in words how this bow shot and felt compared to any other bow that I have shot.

In the past, I have said that I would never sink that much money into a bow. The most I have ever paid for a bow was $350 for a used Martin Hunter and I have built most of my other bows. Well I have to eat crow, because I will be ordering a Swift Long Curve. My only dilemma is, should I just get the no frills Swift Long Curve Wichita or the the Swift LongCurve? Decisions, Descisions!

Go for it Ricky, life is to short to reflect on what you did or didn't do! If bow doesnt work out you can always sell it.
