I just got this off the big auction house. It had no weight or specs listed. Might have been in the area where there is some finish missing above Shooting Star. It strung up real nice and straight. I guess the weight to be around 36 lbs. I'll check it on a scale. In searching for any history of Whiffen Shooting Stars, I remember reading something about different people making bows for them. Is this a Howatt product? It looks like it could be. Maybe Larry will know. It is a pretty bow. Is the wood Bubinga,Shedua or something else? I believe its in the Rosewood family. Any idea of the age ? Thanks for any and all help. Pictures to follow.

Riser and limb tips sure have the look of a Howatt bow.

Howatt, Jean Louthan and maybe Seattle Archery made bows for Whiffen. The blunt angles on the glass and, especially, the handwring of the model label on this one makes me pretty sure Jean Louthan made it.
