Are there archives of traditional champs by state going back to at least the 50's? I haven't been able to find anything on the computer. I would be most interested in the state of Va.

Before the mid 80's there was no traditional in connection to archery. Before the mid 70's pretty much all the scores were recurve.

Sorry I should have explained. Compounds came out around 1970 and weren't considered legal archery for a few years. Then in mid 80s when stickbows were making a comeback we started calling them traditional to separate them from compounds when guys ask what kinda bows you shot.

What GLF said. Google archery champions 1950. Leave out traditional.
