Cabin fever hit me last week so I decided to take on a project. About a year ago I purchased a 44# Ben Pearson Flame Hunter at an auction for $10. It has a metal riser and is similar in design to the Bear 76er. The bow shoots surprising well. However, the green flocked riser and ugly brown limbs were not very appealing. I decided to re-flock the riser in black. I then carved Birch Burl to inlay in the recessed areas on the riser. The limbs were painted black and white. Here is the final product

This is a fine example of what good DOES come from cabin fever. Ya done a nice job on that, Timberline2. Let us know how she shoots!

That is one fine looking bow! You did a very nice job on the make over. The accents take it over the top for me. Lance

Nicely done Bob. This "white" wood seems to be very popular now.

Sweet looking. You did a really nice job. Maybe you can show a before picture to show the shocking difference.

That turned out really nice. I like to see innovation and thinking outside the box when restoring the plainer old bows.
