How many guys here have found the bow of their dreams on the Classifieds only to find out it's a dang LEFTY? It's a real buzzkill!

And....and....they are always cheaper than R.H. bows, especially on the big auction site...and as Edith Ann, on Laugh-In would say, "that's the truth". ;)

Yeah it sure does happen but as Bill D mentions I'll bet it's real torture for a lefty to be on this site.

Saw one recently that had me wondering if I could learn to shoot "wrong" handed:) Too old, too late, I surmised.

And i just saw a redwing on Craigslist for $500. Won’t sell mine. Classifieds are fun to read and dream over.

It's enough to make me wish I was ambidextrous! Either that, or I find what I want, only at a draw weight I can't handle.

I'm learning to shoot lefty, I am somewhat ambidextrous anyway. And yes, been very disappointed to see it's a lefty when I really wanted the bow!

Even worse for me- now that I shoot and train both sides every time, I can't stand any type of modern, "normal" so-called trad bow that has only a single cut in shelf. Of course I own a few, but ALL my everyday shooters are ambidextrous. Three categories:
1. Self and other old-time longbows (esp. ELB) shot off the bow hand.
2 Asiatics- same thing, both sides always available. Also, thumb release is typically (but not exclusively) done opposite side, so even shooting just lefty or righty makes a single side bow a frustrating PIA for me.
3. The Kodiaks of 1954, 55, & 56. My favorites! Got 10, in lengths of 60", 64" and one 68". Draw wts. from 38# to 55# (@28"). And of course early Grizzlys- 1955 my favorites, and the Polars, & some misc. Cubs & 1958 Alaskans.
But like a moth to the flame, I always check the classifieds, wishing that some really, really cool looking bows weren't just the normal one- sided jobs. So I have it even worse than mere "lefties" - which is my good side in any case. More Ebay than LW classifieds for my shopping needs. Anyway, hope I'm done with buying more darn bows.
Here's four of my favorite amigos- 3 Kodiaks and a 3-piece Ming 5 Chinese take down. Ancient & modern.

I'm with Bill on this one. I still find myself looking at R/H bows and then....crap ! I had to switch to L/H years ago due to an old injury.

Actually, I shot both now also. It would depend if I was looking for a hunting bow(right) or a bow for 3Ds(left).
