I just found out a little bit ago that Compton Traditional Bowhunters vice president Dave Hewitt passed away today. He was a great friend and great ambassador for traditional bowhunters everywhere. Rest in peace my friend!

He was on the ballot to be President of Compton. One of the best introduction letters I have read in a while. As a fellow Hoosier this is a very bad day for Indiana as well as for Compton. Thoughts and prayers to his family!

I should also say that Dave was the chief of police for the community of Rising Sun, IN. He should be remembered for his service to his community as well.

I was lucky to call David a friend and only lived a few miles from him. It's hard to comprehend that I will never be able to talk bows with him again. Never hear his hunting stories, or share pictures from the stand. I hope he is able to look down and see the impact that he has had on so many lives.
