Anyone in Burlington Vermont ? Visiting in August and want to know if there are any Trad shops or ranges.

Hi Frank, I live about an hour north of Burlington; lived there for several years before moving up here. No ranges there, and I don't know of a trad shop anywhere in the state. There's an indoor range in St. Albans, about a half hour north of Burlington, they have some basic recurves there for the range too, I think. There's a 3D course in Morrisville, which would be an hour or so away, at the Fish and Game (or rod n' gun?) club there. There's a good amount of state land/state parks within 30-45 minutes; you could probably do some roving if you're willing to drive.

whens the poke n hope shoot in Maine? might be the right time and not too far for a trad only shoot.

Pelkey's Archery in St. Albans still has a indoor range; no 3D though. I live in St. Albans, but haven't been to Pelkey's in over 10 years. As mentioned St. Albans is 30 mins north of Burlington. In fact you may drive right by it if you're driving into Vermont from Canada.

R&L archery in Barre, VT also has 20 yard shooting lanes. That's about 60 mins south of Burlington.

We used to have a Trad 3D shoot every year in Jonesville; but haven't had one in years. Check out Green Mountain Traditional Bowhunters on Facebook.

There are some Vermont owned woods near me that I rove and shoot. You are more than welcome to contact me and we can go.
