It's a shame when someone asks for an opinion on a certain thing and they get answers that don't pertain to that object. He ask about a pop up ground blind. Not about sitting under a cedar or a natural blind he could fix up.

I used to have a DB Dark Horse and it works great for shooting a recurve from, it was a 54 in Damon Howatt Hi-Speed with another person in blind. Only downside to the DB is they are pretty heavy to carry around if you move much but are very durable.

My wife fout me one from Sportsmans Guide that is 7 feet tall for Christmas. She said it was about $150. She also got a Buddy Heater. I said something last year about taking my granddaughter out for youth gun in Ohio next year so she got this set up for her. At 7 foot high I should have no problem shooting a stick out of it if I wanted to.

I have killed a lot of deer and turkeys here in texas from home-made cedar blinds, like someone above mentioned. Really a good way to go. They don't spook critters when first set up either. I just take a set of limb loppers and a hand saw and cut my way in to the center of a big cedar. I make myself a little cave and pile the limbs I trimmed out in front and around me....throw a bag chair in the midst of my new dwelling and jump in. The deer and turkey never know what hit them. I have had deer walk up and nibble on the side of my "blind" the same evening. Good luck to you!

It's a shame when someone calls out those who don't answer the question, at the same time not answering the question themselves. If I were to purchase a ground blind, I would look hard and go all in with the hidden hunter. I believe that blind would suit me best here in Colorado.

I'm thinking hard about a Ghost Blind. First one I saw at my local gun shop made me chuckle. Seemed very gimmicky. But there have been plenty of positive reviews from satisfied customers. I like the idea of being concealed, but still 'out in the open', being able to enjoy the view around me. Don't get an Ameristep Doghouse - unuseable with anything but a firearm!

Blinds could be subjective to lots of things. Your height, bow length, how you plan to shoot, if you plan on carrying it in or if you set it up before. I don’t recommend that btw unless you have one spot where they come to each day and rest the area. For the folks that think brushing in a turkey blind is necessary. It’s not. They’ll walk right up to it even if it doesn’t blend in.

My buddy bought a baronett 350-360.. something like that. Lots of room to two hunters. Very light weight, thin material, which is nice but keep it tied down securely cause a light wind will take it.
I have DB Double wide, kinda heavy but not horrible.. Material is heavy weight, durable, better in the wind,Life-time warranty. Once I got better instructions off You-tube it's pretty easy to put up now..
For the money and there is a big difference, the Barronett is hard to beat..

Same experience as lowrider. Loved the hidden hunter but wasn't easy for me to move so I set it up to stay in one spot. The next week a tornado/straight line wind storm came through and flattened and twisted it.
