I'd like to try out shooting with some wood arrows. I've only used carbon. I shoot a mid 90s vintage bear hunter takedown 50# @28" and draw 29". Where to go for spine/weight matched, fletched ready to go half dozen? Best value for a good half dozen to target and ultimately also feel confident for their reliability to use for hunting.

Three rivers Hunter's arrows are good although I do not believe they are weight matched. Not a big deal to me, they fly well.

Lost Nation has always been a very good place to visit and to order online. But I always try to support small businesses before the big guys.

Gator , does Wapiti still carry shafts ? I emailed them recently and never heard back.

Best for your buck is to buy a set that someone is selling and that's your best banger.

Plenty of guys that sell bare shafts they have around as well. Just look and keep looking till you find or put the word out its that easy.

If you are worried about the cost of shooting wood then you might as well give up before you start. Both carbon and aluminum will end up costing far less than shooting wood.

The Footed Shaft sells hunter arrows by half dozen for $55 or full dozen for $100... Terry does a nice job and is great to work with.

I would recomend buying a good set to start off with so you can know if really liking wood- Then learn to make your own

Got my first dozen many years ago from Kustom King -then made my own later got a nice dozen from Snag on here got a planned hunting trip

will be cheaper in the long run to learn to make your own- its not hard at all

Not sayin’ Bob is old, but he planted most of the old growth cedar now used in shafting. Grin, sorry Bob. He also wins awards for spectacular arrows, fletched to perfection. He will answer all your questions and get you started in woodies correctly.
