what size feathers do you guys use for bows less than 50 lbs.

I use 3-4 inch feathers. Often the length depends on the size shaft I am fletching and if I am putting helical into the feather. Started doing more straight 4 inch even for 50 plus pounds. Not an expert; this is just what works for me.

3-4"" parabolics. ...3" on my Olympic recurve "knitting needles" carbons.

5" More that is needed but I like the look.

Bow draw weight has exactly nothing to do with the size of the feathers you use.

Feather size is depndent on how well tuned the arrowsa re and personal preference and nothing else.

Mostly 3 but I do use 4"

What fdp said. Heck I been playing around with the small Blazer cut feathers and vanes lately. Still not quite got used to the look but arrows fly as well as 4” or my 5”.

I use 3-4" left wing parabolics with as much twist as I can possibly get for all of my bows.

... so how much feather would you recommend for a bow of 100lb +
