I'd like to treat myself to a little vacation this spring or summer. Anyone know of a selfbow building class in the North East? Thanks.

OJAM is March 20th thru 24th. I'll be there and so will a lot of folks to build, carve, sell and shoot. I have never had a group so willing to share knowledge.

I left Michigan 8 years ago and kick myself in the a$$ for not taking up Gary from Rattle Stik Bows on his invite to Chesaning when I was in the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Summer Jamboree in 2005. I kept procrastinating, plenty of time. I was only a couple miles from him at that time in Freeland. I was just a wee ladd when I harvested my first deer with a selfbow and thought I was all that! Boy was I WRONG!

Anyway never stop learning and take advantage of anyone willing to share. Carve, Shoot, Enjoy. John

I have a bowmaking workshop coming up in March (7th-10th) in North Carolina. Happy to give you more details if you're interested.

Greetings, I live up in VT about a 1/2 hour south of Burlington. I am not sure if your headed this way, but I have built a few self-bows, a bunch of arrows, and I have a good number of staves and arrows splits on hand. I do not do any formal classes, but happy to get you pointed in the right direction and help you with some material to work with.
