Same chronograph?

Yep, not surprised. My Galaxy Hunter longbow has made it pretty hard to justify spending big bucks with long waits for a custom bow that may not shoot as well. I'll keep my Schafer, but it's been in the case and hasn't seen daylight for a real long time now.

What’s your DL?

At that rate, I might have to order one just to have a T/D LB on hand ;)

You won't be sorry Matt.

Well, I MIGHT be, if I had to explain another bow to my already quite indulgent Missus! ;)

Oh, wait! I’ll just tell her it’s for her & Thing Two and they sent me heavy limbs by mistake... then I’ll order a set of #25s or #30s and hang onto the Heavies just to save the shipping on the return...

Shot one last year at Denton Hill. Was shooting my Bear Kodiak. First thing that struck me when I drew the bow was the short sight window.Doesn't bother me . I shoot selfbows, but could bother some.I must say it is a very nice bow, and at the price point a real bargain.

Impressive numbers. How many strands were in your old string, and how many in the new string?

yes, the Black hunter or galaxy ember, is staying in my stable for a long while now. been selling the others off a little at a time.

The Black Hunter is the best bow I have ever shot in 35 years. I have got mine brand new, with bamboo limbs for $97 (US) including shipping from China...What should I say? THE BEST!

I shoot 8 strands of BCY10 Flemish twist and it's very quick and quiet. Drawing just under 60#. LB Bamboo

I just watched a sponsored review by Survival Lily and it’s a pretty impressive bow for the money. I might have to try one. Lance

I bought the longbow version on the suggestion of a bowyer that built several bows for me. I've been out of archery for about 4 years and needed some lighter limbs to build back up to fighting weight. The bowyer said he would make them but only after I looked at this bow. He said his material cost for a new set of limbs was more than the total cost of this bow. I've been shooting it for about 3 wks and love it. I did put a FF string on it after a week but it shoots as good as anything I have and I have some high priced bows. I need to chrono it but I think it is as fast as some bows I have that are 7 to 10 lbs heavier.

Was the string weight and brace height identical?

When I get a different bow, I just hang it with the others and say nothing to my wife, well, it works on used or cheaper bows, not customs.

Is 60" the longest this bow comes? I have a 31" draw and I like to be 62" or more. I have a 62" OMP mountain hunter that the limbs already are checking and both upper and lower edges have splintered. All my under 60" bows are trashed as a matter of fact, I have a Bear Grizzly in the wood pile with a snapped limb.

With that, it looks like a legit improvement. I still live in the B50 and B55 world but am intrigued by these differences.

8125g is a pretty far out of date now. Your results with X from BCY or Fury/Rhino from Brownells would be even better.

Do a search and see if you can find some info about the FastFat strings that Cameron used to make. They were half B50 (mostly for padding) and half 8125g. I have one on a 1960 Kodiak and it is the quietest string I have ever used (had close to a hundred strings). Of course Rooty's superior workmanship has a lot to do with it.
