Any or you western guys want to trade out a turkey or WT hunt in Western KY? Looking to bowhunt mulies in open country or elk for 2. Curious if anyone would want to trade hunts? Have 1450 acres in W KY and a house on sight. Great deer and turkey hunting. Let me know if you have any interest. Thanks!

Originally from Russellville, now in Nevada. Many Western states require you to enter a lottery and have no or few over the counter tags. Pick a place you want to go and then read the regs thoroughly. our lottery cut off is 15 April

When I venture back “home” i see deer and turkeys almost everywhere. When I lived there, very few deer lived there. You are lucky

Yeah, I realize that. I’ve hunted in WY since the mid 90’s on a private ranch, my buddy retired and new Forman won’t call me back. Have elk hunted twice in CO in OTC overcrowded units. Just looking for a connection that can point me in the right direction and wants to come East. If I can identify draw units, units with few points or OTC units that aren’t terribly overcrowded I’d be happy. Thanks.

Get yourself a couple of PP and get a general tag for Wyoming. No need for a private ranch to have a good hunt. Wyoming general has folks but you should see elk as well, not near like Colorado OTC. We hunt general most years and while camps are everywhere it seems and guys drive the roads, we haven't run into other hunters in the field in years. Lots of elk encounters though.
