We are gonna park our beast at Montgomery Bell state park. Full hookups!!

From: CrowFoot Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 08-Feb-19

Danny Pile, Our camping area is in a hay field, gravel road in on a high flat spot. You will be backing in and setting up in the grass. If we have good weather we will be fine. If we have wet weather it will get soft just like everywhere else we go but we will manage. We will take care of you if you have any problems. Montgomery Bell State park is a beautiful park. The camp grounds there are very nice and only 15 to 20 minutes away from Buck Hollow. They also have a nice Inn with 118 rooms, there are also cabin rentals there. Check them out at Montgomery Bell State Park www.tnstateparks.com.

Cant wait to see you Otis, its going to be a good time!

From: Pappy 1952

From: Stkbow3
Date: 14-Feb-19

How will the parking be?

From: CrowFoot Compton's Traditional Bowhunters
Date: 14-Feb-19

Parking should not be an issue, we have a large area to park folks. And we have designated a couple of spots for over flow parking. I would bring some mud boots to be safe in case we get some more rain it may get a little muddy on the course. It dries up pretty quick and the forecast is showing that we should have some decent weather to dry out. We will go out of our way to accommodate anyone with any problems. We are getting closer and closer. We will see some of you in just 7 days! Looks like it will be in the 60's with slight chances of rain for Thursday 30% Friday is Sunny and Saturday partly cloudy is what they have forecasted right now.

From: Sasquatch73

John, ya saying your shoulders are hurting too for those swim strokes or is it the knees on the flutter kick?

From: Sipsey River
Date: 17-Feb-19

You got it right, bad shoulders and bad knees. Might have to do the breast stroke. Thinking about this weather and Tennessee I can't help but remember the couple of times you got soaked at the Classic. I remember the time you set up exactly where the water was running off the side of the hill and you were knee deep in a flowing stream of water. You kept smiling as you always did, always a happy guy.

It should be a ton of fun if you love to shoot like we do.The Big White Vendor tent set, a huge thank you to Pappy and the fine folks at Twin Oaks for letting us borrow it. We have put some new gravel down. We have plenty of trees for you to put a Hammock in Trent. We are approaching it like the postal service quotes. Neither Snow nor Rain nor Heat nor Gloom of night will halt us from or Mission. We are expecting it to be wet so bring your boots. We will go out of our way to make it enjoyable, and to put on a great shoot that makes you want to come back over and over. For all of you that are planning on coming to the Pre-Spring Fling. I wanted to let you know that on Friday evening at 5:00 we are going to have a Final Arrow tribute for David Hewitt. From: Danny Pyle

From: CrowFoot Compton's Traditional Bowhunters

I'm not sure who you talked to at the park but it hasn't rained here in two days. Its the driest it has been here right now in a weeks. They must be talking about flooding in the past? It looks like we are going to get some rain but the weather here literally changes every time I look at it. We are preparing for it, we have put mulch down in the vendor tents and we have plenty on hand as we need it. The show will go on. We will miss you guys, hope to see you around. If you change your mind and I hope you do we have a great course set up.

Local weather here now ( 10;30am Wednesday )is saying partly cloudy here tomorrow high of 50, Friday showers likely in the morning and in the evening. We should have lapses through out the day Friday, fingers crossed. Saturday is much the same it looks like. We are all pleading with the good lord above to help us out! The temps will be in the 60's. Sunday is supposed to be nice. We are ready and will do the very best we can do. We have a great course set up that you guys will love. Our members and wives have worked their tails off to make this a great event! Bring your Boots!

Just got back from shooting first twenty targets. Great setup, great club, members very friendly and helpful. Hopefully rain will let us get in the next twenty tomorrow. Went through some of the vendors tents but will catch the rest tomorrow.

We didn't shoot today. Wife bought some wraps and feathers at big Jim's to redo her arrows to match her new bow color. Of course that means I will be redoing her arrows!

Thanks to all the buckhollow members for working very hard to put on a quality shoot. We enjoyed every day, but Sunday was the best because the weather cleared. This shoot is going to grow into one of the best.

We had so much rain here I had to stay home and fight water in my basement. Our lake has risen over 17 feet in the past week! Everything is soaked here. Wish I could have made it. My buddy came over From Georgia to come up there with me, but he stayed and helped with my water problem. I hope those of you who got there had a good time. How about someone posting some of the scores? How many shooters were there?

Walking around checking vendors and hanging with friends for two wet days was well worth waiting for the perfect weather today!

Great course and great job by the club!

All of us at Buck Hollow wants to send out a great big thank you to all you great folks for coming out and supporting BHB for our first Tennessee Pre-Spring Arrow Fling. We had some tough weather but all of you Guys and Gals proved to be much tougher. We worked our tails off to make it a great shoot. I really hope that if you enjoyed it that you will let it be known and help us grow our shoot. Our members and wives worked super hard preparing for it and then reacting to the things you can't prepare for! A big thanks to the vendors who came out, after talking to them they all did well and said they planned on being back next year. Thanks to Compton Traditional Bow hunters for their support and co-sponsorship of this shoot, what a great bunch of guys and organization, if you aren't a member of Compton but love traditional archery and hunting then you should be. Check them out, they were instrumental with the kids shoot and we set that up both Saturday and Sunday. Those kids had a blast and they are our future. We encourage you to get a kid shooting a bow! We had 141 registered shooters this weekend and many many visitors. It was great seeing old friends and making new ones. We will see many of you out at another shoot someplace. Until Then , thanks so very much! God is Good!

Hats off the folks at Buck Hollow for putting on an outstanding shoot. It was clear how much work they did to prepare, make adjustments for the rain, and make sure everyone had a great time. Great Job!!!

Had a great time at Buck Hollow. They busted their humps to make it as enjoyable as they could. You men and women did a great job. Even though there was a little rain, it was a top flight shoot.

Thanks Otis, great to see you and the crew, I had a great time as always with you boys. Camp Chicken Foot Rides again. The steel crow was about 15 yards I'd guess. that hole was cut in it with a 2 inch hole saw.

I tell you what happened. I took a shot, set my bow on the horse's head and leaned forward to get up. Except I almost landed on my face.:o then the rest of the group wanted me do it again for a photo of. Lol
