I got this stave from Osage Outlaw at Marshall Primitive Archer's meet last spring. I finished it up awhile ago and hunted late season doe with it. Didn't get a shot but liked how light and manuverable it felt. It comes in at exactly 12 oz. hence the name 12 oz. curl. I'm not a big adult beverage drinker, but I do occasionally do a 12 oz. curl. Really pretty plain. Just Osage, white tail overlays and wrapped the handle with a old leather coat someone gave me.
54 t-t-t right around 48lbs @ 24"
Will go a bit further. Still looks very nice at 26"

Thanks everyone,
Recarga. Keep on trying. What type of wood were you working with. I like to use steam for tips and dry heat to heat treat and straighten. There is definitely a difference in woods. Osage bends like plastic and stays right where I leave it. Hop Hornbeam is much more stubborn and usually gives up a lot as soon as it comes off caul.
Monkeyball it was so light I had to weight it. As soon as I saw that 12 oz. I knew exactly what I was going to name her.

Nice looking bow! I always wondered if building static recurve was possible. Really good looking and shoots well. I bet. I have an Osage flatbow ( self bow) and in some was a my favorite of all the bows I have. Just wait a few years and that bow will turn dark Amber in color.

When you say "will go a bit further"...where on the bow do you expect to remove wood--limbs, tips, or a bit of both?

Yes croockedsticx like OCR said. It's been pulled and shoot a fair amount at about 26" just how it is. I like the tiller and wouldn't change it. It's just that I'm vertically challenged and my draw is between 24 and 25. Usually closer to 24". I really was planning on this one for someone else with a few more inches of draw. I couldn't resist hunting with it though and it still fits me pretty good.
