Folks, for those of you that have come to the Howard Hill Classic as well as my Pre-Spring Arrow Fling know I've had raffles and auctions for help raise money for this Boy Scout Camp.

So far I have donated over $50,000.00 to this Camp, and part of this along the way, has gone to The Wounded Warrior Project and Children's Harbor.

Now, I'm faced with the problem of what the upper management is doing to the Scouts.

I am also disgusted with what's going on as the Boy Scout Committee that's over this Camp is disgusted as well.

Folks, it's not about those idiots that have come up with these ridiculous changes, IT IS ABOUT THE KIDS!!!

This Camp has allowed me to use this beautiful piece of property and has never has for a dime from me.

We never know how this Camp has or may help some young boy to become a good man.

Hi Terry, It is awesome that you you have raised so much money for great organizations including the Boy Scouts. I'm an adult leader at my son's local Boy Scout troop. We do not have any girls in our troop but I'm sure it will only be a matter of time . I believe all kids should have the opportunity to enjoy scouting but will admit I'm not a fan of the changes so I guess the jury is still out for me. Our troop in our small community has over 50 Eagle scouts since 2001. I do the hiring for the company I work for and have hired several young men who are Eagle scouts (none from our troop yet) and wish every hire was an Eagle scout. Anyone who thinks the younger generation is filled with lazy slackers needs to spend time with some scouts. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth. Thanks again Terry for what you are doing!

Change is a Constant. Besides, it’s not like they’re pushing crossbows into archery seasons....

Find the good that comes from it and focus on that. The boys are going to spend their entire lives working around, for and with women, and there’s a lot to be said for learning to do it like Scouts.

And FWIW, I’d bet a lot of those boys will grow up to be the kind of men who would be ECSTATIC to find themselves a gal who loves to camp, backpack, etc....

Well as a Scoutmaster for a local troop of boys all these changes are just that changes .......... we need to roll with them and make them work for the betterment of the kids ..... no matter their gender ....... but what I have done here is to get the community to support the boys ........ My Scouts bus tables at the local fishfrys ...... they help with community trash day ...... they work the local festival on clean up detail ...... and I have found them lots of side jobs to make sure the parents dont have to pay for the week at a BSA camp ....... so as a Scoutmaster I couldn't be more proud of my Boys or my Community for helping us out .......... now the sad part is if there arent anymore boys or girls to join this program is gonna fade away ........ so I think the changes are good but all the changes in the world arent going to do any good if the Parents dont see what a awesome program this truely is in these times and get them and their children involved .......... ok off my soapbox ..... good luck doing what youre doing it is a good thing my friend ..........
