This one I made an inch longer then all the other ones I made. It's 6 1/4" long. The blade is 3" long and the handle is 3 1/4" long. It's a nice little knife. I just have to make a sheath for it now.

Well Todd anything with a sharp edge on it can give you stitches if your not careful. Native Americans and Mountain men wore them around their neck for many years.I have never heard of anyone getting hurt by one worn around the neck. I know there is a few mountain men on here that like them though. I'm not sure if I like them or not yet. But I am going to give a neck knife a try. Its always nice to have a back up.

I have a patch knife in a sheath on the strap of my possible bag. Don't need one hanging around my neck!

Not quite trade, but I have a little Ka-Bar that snaps into a plastic (gasp!) sheath that I occasionally wear upside down on a dog tag chain.
Keeps the knife really handy, especially if you're wearing your shirt tails out. You can get to the knife quickly, make your cut or whatever, and put it away no problem. Pretty good system if you just want a small blade handy.

Something else to get caught in the bow string when ya shoot.
Same as those dumb arm guards with knives sticking out of them.

In the atlanta cutlery catalog they are selling neck knives, that are 7-8 in long, and the blade 3 1/8 in long. I've seen them longer and shorter, it should work, depends on the user.
