I have Jorge Coppens book i still look at it from time to time for dates etc . The book has some typos in it but is still very handy .I had emailed Jorge a few times about certain models years etc .And we kinda both agree there can be certain models in the same year that are slightly different simply because they were using up material etc .Old Fred was crafty he did not just throw stuff out like we do today because it was a new year and model .

What Joe said above, and remember Bear changed models in September but didn't bring the catalog out till January, so some overlap would, and did occur. And as Joe said, Fred didn't like to waste product.
