Pretty simple style, but I liked how they came out for being an experiment. Fly very well. I saw some speckled goose feathers many years ago, and decided I could make my own by splattering oil based wood stain on them that I use on shafting.

Hat's off to anyone that has raw shafting and can stipre a perfect narrow crest line.

Keep up the great work. Awesome craftmanship.

From: JayInOz
Date: 17-Feb-19

Beautiful work all of you! There was a feller here about fifteen years ago who hand painted some incredible designs on his arrow shafts. Can anybody remember his name? How far back do the archives go here? JayInOz

From: JayInOz

Hookman the fletches are to the left- democrats:) That cresting is really striking. You use a commercial cresting setup? I made mine from an old wiper motor- ugly but still works, like me. JayInOz

My Lord....I swear I don’t know how you guys do it. These arrows are too nice to shoot! If I had ‘em, I’d likely just sit and admire them and not risk damaging any of them by shooting them. They are just gorgeous!!

I’ve always wanted to try wood arrows but never knew what spine to get, what wood is best or where to get them. I’m not saying I could produce anything like these, I couldn’t. I’ve just never tried wood arrows. I love their beauty though. They look so much better than any aluminum or carbon arrows though.

Thank you all for posting them for us to admire and envy!!

Made up six rivercane practice arrows for "No Kiddin" my 48" bendy. Shafts are 26" long. Sinew wrapped with pole barn spike points cut off to between 12 and 13 grams. Glued in with gorilla super glue. Shoot bareshafted until got the right tip weight for nice arrow flight. Fletched with wild turkey primaries. 3 1/2" cut pretty low. My normal Bjrogg markings.
