Has anyone made a hickory backed Canary wood bow?

I haven't heard of one, but if it could take the compression, it would be really pretty. It's hard and heavy. I've done some woodworking with it, but never tried it in a bow. I don't think it's that hard to get, a hardwood supplier down the road has it, but there's probably a good reason we haven't heard of canary wood bows. I'm due to stop in there again soon. I'll look it over.

I've built some nice risers with Canary Wood but never tried it in a all wood bow. Please keep us posted.

It's definitely used for back and belly veneers.
