I am looking for comments from anyone who owns, has owned, shot, or examined in detail any of the Bearpaw Mohawk Bows.

This would include the 60” or 62” recurve, or 62” longbow limb versions.

Looking for finish quality, shooting impressions, stacking at 30” or other potential problems.

I would appreciate keeping this to the topic, I am aware there are a lot of choices out there both custom and factory.

Not necessarily wanting to purchase one of these bows, but would like to learn a bit about any 1st hand observations.

Good day Yamaha. My pal shoots a Mohawk. He has 40#, 50# recurve limbs as well as 55# LB limbs. He quite likes the bow, BUT he has had one showstopper. While the bow was strung between shooting ends, he heard a crack, he looked and before he could do anything a lower limb broke entirely. Bear paw backed the warranty, but it left him rather skeptical. He still has it but he now hunts with a BW PCHX I sold him.

I have shot the bow and found it smooth in draw and shot. Not a barn burner but decent. Hope that helps.

Mark

A friend of mine just bought a Bearpaw Mohawk Chief second-hand. It came with longbow and recurve limbs. He had it at my place with the longbow limbs on it and I got to shoot it a bit. I found it very smooth on the draw and nicely balanced. Forgiving on the shot too. Nice bow.
