That was a waste of time..... There are several ways how to tune arrows and it has nothing to do with GT or not GT. You don't even know what your arrows are doing in the air and it is definetely not visible when you shoot....
At least papertest the arrows.
If you have an arrow, that flies really well but you want to make it heavier, then use the chord weight method. It will be virtually undetectible in the spine department and you'll achive a weight tapering effect.
Before starting to buy shafts, you want to know your goal you want to achieve:
FOC range desired
Overall arrow weight desired
Do you need a specific arrow length?
Is your draw very long?
Long draws will limit your tuning ability, when it comes to length. Setting a fixed arrow length will limit your tuning to point weight and chord method. Do not add mass to the tail end.
You hopefully already have an arrow that flies well. Use this to arrow to check if you have a personal form factor or not using an online calculator. The exsting arrow should be at least papertested.
Then use the online spine calculators to punch in several possibilities which are close. Then buy these materials and tune these arrows with point weight and chord. Chord in the first third will increase weight, will not change spine and will increase FOC.
