Just got some new GT trad blems, and they sure want everyone to know they are Blems! I believe you could read that in flight. Lol

I just use acetone to remove all the writing. Just remember what the spine is.

Good luck!

Just tell people they come from the country of Blemia, made by the Blemish inhabitants.

I didn't think these were available any more. Do you mind if I ask where you found them?

There are still some on eBay, HighNTree

Thanks Kent. I'll jump over to eBay.

Hmm...seems like my dude Jerry Dewese aka jdhunts has gotten a load of GT Blems on his site. Stand up guy, been buying from him for over a decade

Anyone wanting any Traditional Blems. I have 400's, 500's and 600's Just $53 per dozen and only $7 shipping. My email address is [email protected] if your interested.

That's where mine came from. "JDhunts" - Stickbow Supplies on eBay.

I just thought the large print was funny. It is WAY bigger than the last time I bought some of these arrows. I will try the steel wool/acetone on these.

Just ordered 2doz 600 spine for the wife off EBay. Free shipping, good deal. Acetone and 0000 steel wool is all I ever needed to get logo off shafts.

fwiw I think batches of blems of the same spine vary widely from each other... that's the "blem factor."

been using them for a few yrs now and no problems.

jk - you could be right, but everything I've read says cosmetic defects only. Out of all the blems I have owned and shot, I never noticed an arrow that was noticeably different the rest.

I don't own a spine tester though, so I can't say for fact. I will pay extra attention to this batch to see if I notice a difference between shafts.

I might try to compare the shafts, as I am hopefully How do you measure spine again - hang 2 oz off the center and measure the deflection with the arrow braced at 26 or 28 inches? I guess the distance doesn't matter as long as all the shafts deflect the same amount.

Jdhunts, what length are they. Thank you.

I have been using the GT blems. I'm fairly new to carbons but they have held up very well for me. As far as the logo goes, I've lightly painted the Blues aluminum shafts before so I could hunt with them. That would be an option if the logo bothers you but I am not one that cares about appearance other than making them to where I can hunt with them.

Whittier - they are full length, but I believe he will cut them down to the size you ask for.

Concerning the large printing on the shafts, I honestly don't care what it says. I just noticed that it was significantly bigger the the previous ones I bought. I may or may not remove the giant "BLEMISHED" from my shafts. I'm guessing I probably won't put any extra effort into that portion of building my arrows. I'll just focus on the fletching, inserts, and points/broadheads.

I still don't understand the whole blemished deal. I too have bought several dozen and they seem fine. Why in the world would a company of any kind advertise they make literally thousands of defective products, much less to keep on doing it. Fix the problem or sell different grades with different levels of perfection,at different prices. Don't keep selling the top grade and labeling it blemished. Makes no sense to me. No one else seems to do it either. I still like GT arrows though. >>>----> Ken

Blems are junk.

GT Warriors are FAR more tough than blems and they shoot as well as blems (from Big Jim) used to do. Toughness is important in 3Ds around here since a mmmmiss hits rocks.

From: Kent Alan

I like GT Warriors as well and a lot of the time, new GT Warriors cost less than GT blems. I think a lot of people think they are a low quality shaft due to the price. But yes, they fly good too. God and Christ Bless!

warriors are nothing more than out of spec GTs.

They aren't tougher than any of the other GT shafts. All of their wrapped shafts start out as a black shaft (warrior only in spec) and then get a wrap on them which adds weight and strength.

BigJim, your blems were great (great) but a dozen from elsewhere, after your person told me you couldn't get more, were crapola.

I don't know if Warriors are tougher than any of the other GT shafts, but they're a lot tougher than the blems they replaced: God gave us rocks around here, didn't mess around with stumps :-)

How much are warriors? Where do you find them at ?

From: jk
Date: 14-Dec-18

I buy Warriors directly from my two archery shops. I never compared price to blems, just wanted the cheap arrows that most guys around here seem to use. I think Lancaster sells em.

From: BigB

Kustom king sells the Warrior arrows.
