This was a fun bow to tiller from a challenging stave. It has lots of dips, dives and snakes. Nothing crazy but enough to keep me on my toes. The bow is 63" long from nock to nock and pulls 56#@28". It's been stained with a steel/wool vinegar mixture to give it an aged look and the tips were highlighted with leather dye. the finish is 9 coats of tru oil, polished to a satin glow.

Great looking bow. I admire you guys that can make a bow out of a stave like that. Like bjrogg said, its more like finding a bow in the wood than it is making a bow from wood. Beautiful.

Weylin, one Hell of a beautiful job.

Super nice finish with hand rubbed tru-oil, that is how I like to do mine, nice touch on the stained tips.

I would have been in the nut house by now following that grain...Ha!Ha!

That is a perfect weight for any hunting.

That is one to be proud of.
