Had a major set back yesterday, wound to spine re infected and now in her blood stream put 2 drains in and on added more and different IV antibiotics

Just home from Hospital

she ate a little today and they think the 2 new antibiotics are starting to kick in

Dr still not happy with the amount of drainage from the surgical wound, but said it was a little less than yesterday

She was a little more alert today and I gave her a sponge bath, said that made her feel better

Infection can be bad stuff,espically when it won't respond to antibiotics readily , even the antibiotics can be rough on the heart,kidneys and guts, etc

Surgeon was happy,said thought we were gonna loose her a few days ago

But getting defiant improvement

Sounds like one of those new 'antibiotic-resistant' infections that are in the news. Nasty stuff. You've been blessed with good doctors who know how to fight it. Remember them when you're giving thanks at the table today. (I'll be doing the same.)
