Try 7 5/8- 7 7/8 and see how that does for you. I would not go over 8.

palmer book says 7 1/4 to 8 1/4 on a 62" bow I run mine at 8" shoots just fine Rich

Don't get caught up on an arbitrary number. The proper brace height for you is where the bow shoots best for you.
