A while back I received a PSE Nova riser from Kdog (Chad Dewall) and have been fiddling with it off and on for quite a while now.
There were a few problems to overcome, primarily the angle of the limb pads in relation to the limb bolts. You can see the angle in this photo.

I used some plastic window installation shims to straighten it out.

The makeshift shims brought it very close although not perfect.

With a set of Sage 40# limbs attached it makes a 37# draw weight. That's the same draw weight that these same limbs made on a BB riser. I expected less draw weight with the change in limb angle.
The other thing that this setup had in common with the BB was that the limbs had to be reversed top to bottom in order to get to a correct tiller.
All in all it's a smooth and fairly quick rig for 37#. I'll chronograph it when the project is completed.
What remains is to grind a very small amount of material out of the back of the the limb pockets. The butts of the limbs are too close and it prevents full limb alignment. This riser is not perfectly straight but there will be enough movement to align them once the backs are relieved.

Oh, they will! And the draw weight at 37# Is going to be useable by all except the two younger ones. I'm probably going to have to buy an additional set of limbs to put both in service at the same time. I'm going to make a form for some additional limbs probably more in the springtime. think the very slight twist in the riser might be from long term stress during it's life as a wheel bow.
I'm also going to be drilling and tapping for adjustment screws that worked so well on the BB. You can see in the last photo that they will need to be closer to the back of the pocket.
Are you doing anything with Galen's stuff?

I got the shims at Ace hardware. The big boxes probably have them too. They are most commonly wood but I went with the plastic. Could be that wood could be a better choice.

Have converted a bunch of those and the first thing I do is level the pockets in the mill vice and cut the angle out so the limb pockets sit at a more friendly limb angle to eliminate all the preload they have with the ridge in the middle.
