I don’t know anything about them. Just looked them up. Nice looking bows and prices not bad either.

I'll know more in a couple of days. He and I have been corresponding on facebook text and I've ordered a riser. He's also sending some matching limbs. If I like them, I'll send him more money, if not, I send the limbs back.

Seems to be a very reasonable fellow.

Will do. Will try to add a picture of the bow he's shipped.

Must be some compressing of the picture file...not as sharp and the colors aren't as vibrant. But enough to get the idea.

This is my first ilf bow and will also be experimenting with wire rest/plunger.

This spring, I'm going to set up a field archery bow and this will give some experience along that line.....

Thanks for taking the time to post that CrkrJim. Just e-mailed Chuck from his site. Thinking about bolt on limbs as I am apprehensive about ILF. God and Christ Bless

Hey what length riser is that, if I may ask?

That's a 20 inch riser, bow is 38 @ 28 and 64" overall. Took it to the club today and shot at 20 yds. Glass faced maple core limbs. After a few ends of warm up, shot a practice 300 round, was definitely smiling at the end of the round.

I purchased the riser and he sent the set of limbs to evaluate. I like the way it shoots, grip is comfortable, smooth shooting. I won't be sending the limbs back but will send a check and keep them.

Per arrangement, he called me today to chat. He does a lot of competition shooting in addition to making risers, limbs and machining the hardware (ilf, inserts etc) and making up the strings. He included a second string at no charge (I like to have a back up string for any of my bows).

I'll be setting up a field archery bow after the holidays and will be doing some more business with him regarding his carbon/foam limbs.

I would highly recommend him for any one considering a custom bow.

Kent, why the apprehension about ILF limbs? They are just limbs with a different attachment to the riser. The ones I shot weren't much different than any other bow save for a bit of adjustment if you want it.

I dunno George...I bought an ILF riser (Cartel Fantom?) and some ILF limbs for a roomate...they seemed to shoot well and everything seemed to work fine...just can't wrap my brain around the tuning issue with them. Not necessarily knocking them and I can see why they are popular.
