Used to grow a hunting beard for deer season and kept a beard for about five years. I've been clean shaved for along time but thinking growing another one. Let's see them beards and how long you've had them. Mustache's and goatees are welcomed. This ain't no beauty contest.lol

I’ll spare you the picture but will tell you this - mine is now a lot more effective as Camo among the aspens than it was 20 years ago!

I think our white beards are more a liability than an asset in the deer woods. I use kids halloween face cream onmine..black. My daughter once said.."Dad, you should shaveoff your beard, it makes you look old". I Told her,'i am old, thats a privelage,im going to start smoking my pipe again and people will think i'm wise and cometo me for advice on financial matters and sexual problems!'...OOH..DAD.!! Sandy

I can think of the times I've been without a Beard on my bad hand haha...40 plus years now and it looks the same as this photo from years back...except it's All White Now :)...4finger

Many years ago, I did just that. Then one year I didn't shave after the season. It is full and 3" shy of my belly button. I kept it trimmed for years but decided to see how long it would get. Had it over 40 years now. It is no longer good for Camo and probably a hindrance as we never have snow. Don't know how to post pictures. Best I stay incognito anyway.>>>----> Ken

You don't see many trad shooters with waxed handlebar mustaches. About the only thing one can do with a waxed handlebar mustache, according to Bob and Tom In the Morning, is, to give mustache rides. I have a deathly fear of brass pinch on nocking points. You can get half your face yanked off when they grab a few beard hairs.

I am thinking about tinting my white beard to streaks of green and brown. Don't worry I will change to blaze orange for gun season.

From: RonG

Nope!!!! don't need one and don't want one, I actually spend a lot of time getting the cleanest shave I can get, the problem here is that the top of my head is starting to look like my face. Ha!Ha!

I've had a beard pretty much most of my life. No selfies though. I cut mine much shorter this summer cause I got tired it poking me eyes when I am riding my bagger and it would hang in my oatmeal and sometimes on my dinner plate. Yep it was looong.

I have to be clean shaving per policy all year but the last few years we have been allowed to donate money to charities to grow facial hair through the fall and our FOP matches the donations. Many of us participate and this year we are donating to a Christmas gift fund for children’s hospital. Helps the kids stuck in the hospital during the holidays have a great Christmas. I started this baby oct 1 and this was yesterday

No beard, can’t stand the itch. A couple of those white beards could be mistaken for a Whitetail’s tail. I would be careful, never know if some half blind hunter may “imagine” your a deer.

It’s only called hunting bread once a year Other times it’s called all sorts of things, favor saver, whom broom, chin whiskers, the thing caught in my jacket zipper ; ) I’ve had a bread since I was 15,,,once in 25yrs of living with my wife I showed her my naked chin And she said,,”Don’t your ever,,ever shave your chin whiskers again” I guess she was affraid she’d have to fight all the women away from me

I grew one beard in the mid 70s, I worked in a hot, filthy coal fired power plant and had to wear a respirator part of the time in the dust and heat. The beard made me suffer even more in the 120 degree heat so I shaved it off and never grew another one.

My Baby Face hasn't know winter since I was 18. That was Hmmmmm 2-3 years ago :'). For some reason in that 2-3 years it has gone from really dark brown to white. At Christmas time here at work the call me Danta Claus. Shave it off between the first and last of March depending on the weather. Start growing it the first of October each year. The wife hates it. Dang, Eric - I get that "Jeremiah Johnson" comment all the time, because, Beard, but if that's what you looked like i the '70s, you mist have been hassled non-stop.

Usually, without it, I get Marty McFly... But I go equinox-to- equinox.

This is "with"... Longer than usual....
