Working out of town today I stopped by Goodwill shopping for Hunting Clothes. Military Surplus is about the extent of what I buy. 2 shirts $4 each

Found some old style camo also, but its a medium. Cant get a medium to wrap around me. Might still get it and put in the trade topic.

Gotta love Goodwill scores. I got a couple Woolrich flannels there in perfect condition.

I still love that old style camo. Many years ago I had sort of a jump suit that was light weight that I wore during the early season. Mine was more tan and less green, though.

That’s a great find! When I was in the desert we called that “ chocolate chip” camo. I have my old uniforms somewhere around here in a duffel bag.

That old style camo is hard to beat--sort of like us old style (vintage) archers. :o)

I was in the thrift store with my wife today and found a Sleeping Indian wool shirt/jac in snow camo for $6. It is about two sizes too small but I picked it up anyway, couldn't pass that up.

Wool is actually what I have been looking for, South Georgia is not someplace where wool seems to be in abundance at thrift stores...

Try e-bay. Some Goodwill stores actually sell that way. Look for wool shirts, and your size, then sort the results 'price low to high'.

I love wool sweaters and occasionally find a pair of wool pants, sometimes a cool wool hat but they are all too small for my 7 5/8's.

Lots of good stuff there, buy a large part of my clothes there and have for years.

Over the past year I've found a pair of Codet wool trousers..my size for $6.99. Three wool sweaters...2 Woolrich and 1 made in Scotland...$4.99 each. A pair of L.L. Bean hunting shoes (moccasin) $13.00 that were basically new.

I usually go by a lot of goodwill stores i see them and just don't bother to go in mostly due to time.

I should start going in after seeing so many finds you guys show.

I usually don't find much at Goodwill stores, the ones around here put anything good on their own online auction site. I do best at a couple of other smaller thrift/junk shops and yard sales/flea markets. The ""Red White and Blue"" thrift stores around here work with the ""Vietnam Veterans of America"" who pick up donations from your home and put all donations on the floor of the store and not ebay. I've gotten some really great stuff and like to think my purchases may help a little. I also like donating to them any useful items I no longer need. I just call them and they send their truck to pick the items up.
