So I built my first selfbow ever last year from a shagbark hickory tree I cut and split into staves. I used a hatchet, Kabar, file and sandpaper to complete the bow start to finish. It isn’t perfect but it flings an arrow and last night I was able to take this buck at 12 yards with it!

Thanks for the kind words guys, it has been a fun journey. Machino- the bow is 66” and right around 52-55#@28” arrows were bamboo with magnus 2 blade.
