I got to go out this morning and do some bowhunting now the temps have dropped and my Doctor said I am good to go. Had 4 bucks trot past my blind and I could not shoot one of them. 3 spikes and a fork horn, not legal where I am. All the does were too far for a shot. Maybe tonight I will connect. Just love the autumn smell if the woods and being outhere.

You are fortunate to have seen bucks. Jusy getting out is good. I went out both afyernoons Sat and Sun. to the corn behind the house. Saw a lone deer going down a split in tbe field. So today I went and waited in the spot. Along about half hr before dawk came a lone deer. A big doe. I was readying for a shot and the slightest noise I made miving my back leg sent her packing. I could not believe I blew the chance at a shot. I learned though....to remain stock sill until time to draw. Dang it was a big dry doe too. Ill be back. Hope you get to see some legal bucks. NY hunting aint too bad...

Well I went this afternoon, didn't see a thing but tree rats, As the sun was going down I started to packup and leave I met another bowhunter on the trail, we talked about our lack of seeing deer. Just then a nice 8 point buck stepped out of the brush and looked at us, gave us a snort and just walked off. We both laughed and said that's hunting. I enjoyed ever minute of it.

The rain will quiet things down for the hunt later. I hope the other guy is not out there getting tehm on edge. I'll see if this big lone doe shows up again, same time, same place. Same Bat Channel.

I know the feeling. I had three does move by me the other evening, couldn't get a clear shot. I love just being out there.........
