I just got 4 dozen Easton magnum 312 arrows. Seller thought they were equivalent to a 2016, but I'm thinking they are closer to a 1916. Anyone know for sure? 2016 inserts seem to be to big, anyone know if 1916s fit?

Seem to be about 30 grains lighter then a 2016 as well.

Guys -
They are BEAR arrows, made by Easton and the numbers deadhead posted are correct for a 29" arrow. Lower the weights by 10# for the 31" flavor. (Bear offered them in 29" and 31" from the factory.)
Not sure about the correlation, if any, to the std Easton XXYY nomenclature. Doubt the 1916 insert will fit, but never tried.
Viper out.

312 comes to 20/64, and I was told all the Mags were .014 wall thickness. If so a 2014 insert would called for. A 2016 would be just a bit loose.

By the way, my information was he said/she said, nothing documented.

Did some more playing this morning, a 2018 insert is real close to working, just a tiny bit loose. I'm still betting they shoot like 1916 just have to find some inserts to fit. May just have to chuck up a 2016 insert and sand it down a fuzz.

I have a dozen 29" 312's with the old fiberglass inserts for my 50# S/k.What would be the best size to use if I ever wanted to replace them?

I'm thinking the best option is to sand down some 2016 inserts to make them fit.
