Pros and cons? Know the GS is heavier per inch, just looking for some real life experience in both. I owned the GS 340s and they were too stiff, so I’m looking to replace them. Thanks!

So have you tried the GS in the correct spine rating??

Not sure what you're looking to get out of the deal...

All manufacturers make a good shaft. Pick one and stay with it or you will end up with a nightmare of components. Your experience with your bow is much more important than anyone else with a different bow. Get the right spine, tune, and be happy. >>>---> Ken

"Pick one and stay with it or you will end up with a nightmare of components. "

TRUE DAT!!! LOL

I've been very fortunate to have received a lot of shafts and components from friends here and in trades, etc., and you'd be amazed at the expense of providing yourself with nocks and inserts enough to make all of those arrows shootable... Some days it feels like it'd almost be cheaper to just go buy complete, brand-new arrows! LOL

GF, an’it that the truth. Sad thing is the kids will sell it off for pennies on the dollar.

I had a gt pierce 500 too stiff for my bows. good skinny arrow choice imo.

I've been using the GT Pierce shafts now for over a year and love them. Great micro diameter shaft. Tough as nails and they flew perfect. I run a 400 spine from my 56# bows. I use Bloodsport outserts at 62 grains with 125 grain heads. I also use Firenock components as well. They are a lol better then Gold Tips system. I don't use a lot of tip weight with them, have no issues with arrow flight or penetration.

Thanks for the info, that’s what I’m looking for.

Arrows of all kind will generally shoot as well as they are tuned.

Not scientific penetration test, but I tuned a 400 GT Pierce and these things are going through my target when my GT Trads and GS stick in about 1/3. How can I get the weight up? Bloodsport outsert and insert weights? Bloodsport says it fits an outer diameter of .231 and GT says .229. Will that still fit? Bare shaft only weighs 476 with a 200 gr head. I would like to get that up in the mid 500’s.

I’ve only used grizzlystiks. Haven’t tried the others but in my opinion the grizzlies are the best arrows I’ve ever used

You're gonna need a stainless steel outsert to get the weight you want up front. Email the guys at Firenock and they'll help you out. I'm thinking Valkyrie also has the steel outserts that work on the Pierce shafts. VAP half outs and outserts will also work on the Pierce shafts. Email Firenock and they'll tell you all you need to know. Grizzlystik shafts....Arrow Dynamics are the same quality of Grizzlystiks, cost a 1/3 less, and preform just as good. AD's with a 100 grain brass outserts are a tough arrow.

I've just been doing some test on carbon arrow with a spine tester. Not only are the cheap arrows crooked they're not consistent in spine.

I've been shooting ACC's for years and just tried FMJ. That bit of aluminum makes all the difference in the world.

I was wondering about the taper on Arrow Dynamics. If that makes them off center or straighter.

Bowmania- you are saying the aluminum on the FMJ makes the consistency better? Just want to make sure I read you meaning correctly.

IMO Grizzly Stiks are the best arrow on the market today. The tapered shaft recovers more quickly than any other arrow shaft I have tried. Perfect bare shaft flight at 1 - 25 yards using a 315g point and following Grizzly Stik's bare shaft tuning method. Arrows finish at 650g at my 27" draw and will cover ( hopefully) the big bears, moose and big bucks that Ontario may offer once in a lifetime.

Nock left... Looks weak to me!! I'm not going at argue arrows, but Grizzlystiks are just another high priced arrow. Black Eagle Impacts fly just as good, VAP's even better. And yes, I've shot em, was not as impressed as some folks are. I've been shooting the Pierce shafts for almost a year, and they flat out shoot and penetrate with 16% foc.

Bowmania, Once you find out about cheap shafts, the expensive ones look even better. Use a shooting machine and once tuned, every arrow should impact the same hole. Years ago, we spent days shooting arrows, the the old ACC's were the most constant arrows we found. Wish Easton hadn't of dropped em. And the good news is, Easton released outserts for the 4mm that take regular broad heads instead of the deep six broad heads!

AD has new shaft out Stinger, .244 insert taper to a g-nock. The GT and Grizz stick use outserts.

I had very bad luck with Grizzly sticks. Wound up sending them back. I'd prefer GT's any day.
