I am very thankful to have received this bow. It is an amazing piece of craftsmanship! And just hours after receiving it I tried a hunt and nearly had a shot at a rice buck... A great day, great bow and so much to be thankful for!!

Paul, What kind of quiver attachment are you using? It does not look like the standard Quick Mount formGN. Thanks, Tom.

Gorgeous bow!

That is truly a work of art. Take 10 pounds off the draw weight and I will keep it if you send it to me. :^) >>>----> Ken

My opinion..The Best Longbow out..They point and shoot unbelievable.. Workmanship and Quality is First class..You got a keeper, Don't do what I did and sell it..Unless it's to me.

Beautiful I love blacktails. I don't like the way all mine have stacked but all mine have been gorgeous like yours.

Would be a shame to get a nick in it hunting with it.

Is that the standard grip with the flat area for the meaty part of the thumb? I’m liking that a lot.

Thinking of selling all my bows but one and buy one more. The one i would keep is my Blacktail Sitka, and i would buy a Blacktail Columbian, with having them 2, why would you need anymore!

The woods are Bocote and Sunset Cocobolo. Thank you everyone for the nice words about my bow. I wish you all a great hunting season!!!

BEAUTIFUL bow. Hope it works well for you.

I have had my share of bows with Bocote in the riser and that is one very nice grainy piece of Bocote you have in your Blacktail. Looks like they really try their best to get the most prettiest woods when building bows. Absolutely gorgeous!

From: DaGunz

I’ve been on their website and have to agree that they are maybe the prettiest, most well crafted bows that I know of. For myself, I know I’d probably ding one up in he woods if I had one. Congrats on an awesome bow. I wish you tons of fun and success with it.

Bows are made to be used, and I bet Norm would just shake his head to think someone was afraid to use one. For goodness sake, don't you drive your new cars when you buy them? A beautiful hybrid there and I would hunt with it for damn sure.

Great looking bow!

From: KDdog

Beautiful ! I'm hoping I get mine this week. I don't think Norm is building bows anymore, and Blacktail is no longer offering a one piece recurve at the moment. Congratulations Paul, have fun!

From: RonG

If it can't take a little outdoors use then it ain't worth having.

Paul, you have a real beauty there and you should be proud, now when you get ready to camo that bow I can recommend a good spray paint......LOL!

I was that way when I bought my first limited edition Howard Hill bow, Craig told me to use it, it wasn't made to hang on the wall.

I am very partial to selfbows, but I wouldn't mind trying one of those out. You lucky rascal.

Beautiful bow and I have a TD LB in the works right now. I'm pretty sure they are making a 1pc still in a recurve and a LB. There is a 1pc recurve that just got put up on there available bow list. As far as Norm goes, not sure. When you call to order a bow you talk to Allen Pope (or at least I did). I think they are co- owners. He is a great man to talk to and will answer all your questions in more than enough detail. I was SOOO undecided on woods and he was patience was not unnoticed. I did spring for the scroll limb bolts that I can't afford but they are so dang pretty.

From: KDdog
Date: 08-Oct-18

I'd sure like to hear what you find out barebow, please keep me posted. I put my deposit down in Febuary and was planning on a one piece recurve. I was told by both Julie and Alan that they are no longer offering a one piece recurve when the time came for my build. Hopefully you will have better luck, and Norm is still building some.

Which brings me to my next question, how is that Great Northern Quiver attached because I need one like it. I don't want those quick detach brackets and that quiver looks great on your bow.

From: Paul
Date: 08-Oct-18

I have a couple of the old washer holders left. The washers have a hole in them which allows the post/wire to be inserted and then held down by the friction of the bolt itself...

Now that everyone, including myself, has said how beautiful that bow is, let me compliment you on your photography. I love a shot that is crisp and colorful with a good backdrop. What camera did you use?

I was fortunate enough to meet Norm at the Coon Rapids Trad Shoot in the early 90s, his bows were on display and he was taking orders. I've owned eight of his bows since then and it was a pleasure to watch his designs and features evolve. The continuos upper limb belly, fast flight compatible, footed risers, footed limbs didn't happen at once. Through it all, he was a great craftsman and a better business man.

Paul, another gem!
