Thanks Chad for the call. Shot was 20 yds and not exactly where I wanted it but think it would have worked. One more week for us PA hunters. Have a great day everyone. Jim

Maybe not exactly as intended, Jim, but MAN! That placement would put him down in a hurry!! Some days better lucky...

Great shooting there, Nemo!

Well finally. I've practiced this shot a number of times without doing very well, but I finally "nailed" it today. Twenty-three yards down hill through the woods with a fairly small window.

Fun to practice but not sure I would take this shot on a live deer.

Cheers all and happy fall hunting!

First three shots from 15yrds. With one of the grandsons Longbows 42# 66". not finished yet still got a little work to do in the tips and then they start on The Dark One.

I shot a low light, elevated 10', 15 yard broadside target. Cooler weather came to Ohio today. The season opens next Saturday. You can smell it in the air!

Great shot Drew on a challenging target!

Thanks for the call Chad!

In honor of Dire Wolf - overestimated the range on this one; figured about 65 and it turned out closer to 50. Only consolation was that almost all of the arrows but the one in the target were in a fairly tidy group about a dozen yards behind the Elk. The one hit was an arrow that smacked a limb and dove into the ground right at the Trad stake, so I sent it again.

Makes you appreciate what those old NFAA guys could really do!

Went back and gave it another shot… I had three arrows in the dirt right at his feet with a max spread of 28 inches… Even hit him a couple times on the second effort!

I’m going to cut myself a little bit of slack because it was really getting to be quite dark at that point (and I was wearing my shades) but MAN… Not exactly an encouraging effort! But that’s why when I’m hunting, I always stick to the gimme’s…

Well it’s been “a bit”! I shot 3@20 yards with my 50# Bearcat T/D and aluminum arrows. The yellow nock is a Bear Camo 2016 and the other 2 are gamegetter II in 2114. Have a good rest of your weekend. Nice to see you can still occasionally draw a bow back Jeff F. Lance

Great shooting , Gang! I got my first-ever, Black Wodow, a 1961 TF, 68". It is so easy to shoot well, I found myself fantasizing about using it on the ground for whitetails. Three shots from 19 yards at angling away target.
