Does anyone know of a good source to purchase the little rubber washers that can be installed between the point or broadhead and insert? I found some at 3 Rivers but $3.99 for a dozen seems quite high to me. Last time I got some they came in a lot higher quantity for a much lower price. I figured an archery source would be a consistant size. Otherwise, I guess I will go to Lowe's or Home Depot and try to match the size of their washers with one of my remaining one.

I would think you should be able to find them there.

I did find some there but 4 bucks for 12 tiny washers seems terribly expensive to me. Lancaster guy had no idea what I was talking about. He thought I was looking for some kind of rubber ring that goes on an expandable broadhead.

Look for O rings at an auto parts store or hardware. Take a field point or broadhead along to match size.

I bought those from 3R and they seemed really tiny and a stretch to get them on. They are still in my box. I started using the removable type of Locktite threadlock to keep my field points from loosing. I'm guessing that is what you are wanting the rubber washers for.

A little string wax on the threads of your adaptor threads works pretty to keep heads from untightening.

I sometimes wrap artificial sinew around the base to get them to index where i want them. You should be able to find o rings for around a nickel a pop at your local hardware store.

Just throwing this out there... are their rubber bands that come small enough for what you want?

are bigger rubber bands that you can cut & trim....have no idea if that would work, just a thought.

Agree with OP--- lowes or home Depot.

Use a little teflon tape or pipe dope. I never had good luck with the string wax.

There's a company that makes field points with an o-ring built into the shank, they work well but they're pricey. And the o-rings are fragile.

Ive herd wax and would think Teflon tape would work well. I picked some Allen field points up on clearance from WalMart and they have the o ring with them.

I just put a little hot melt on the threads heat to soften and screw in quickly

works like a charm

Get peep sight tubing and cut it into 1/8 inch sections and there you have your washer.

#60 o-rings in the plumbing department of your local hardware store.

Do you want them to align the broadhead or just to keep the point from loosening?

Used to use o rings for eye glasses. They used to be cheap, dont know now.

From: 76aggie

Skeets, my primary usage for them would be to align the broadheads but when I have a bunch, I also us to keep field points from coming loose. I checked Lowe's and they had nothing. I probably should have also checked the plumbing department.

Jeremy, now I know exactly what to ask for.....#60 O rings.

I got a PM from PaSteve this morning. He has a bunch and is going to send me some in the mail. Stickbow guys and gals are great! Thanks Steve!
