Dale Torma's embedded Photo

Due to a change of jobs and no computer about 15 years ago, I got disconnected from you folks for a long time. I was reminded recently by a friend that mentioned the untimely passing of “Jim from Oregon” who helped me a lot in the past. I had a lot of old friends here and met some of them at 2 Mojams in the past. So hello again! I have been inspired to work on bows again and start shooting too. I’ll have to make a lighter bow now since I haven’t shot in quite some time.

Here is an old photo from back then

Hi Dale, I got here about the time you left I reckon. Anyway, welcome back!

Welcome back Dale. I too have had a few periods where I stepped away from the 'Wall but nowhere near 15 years at a time. Sadly there are others of the old gang that have passed besides Jim from Oregon. Gipetto (Dean Torges) is sadly gone also. Glad to hear you decided to get back into it.

Yes, Rick posted a bit of good stuff about Jim, and it jogged my memory a bit.I then wanted to go into the archives and read some of the old stuff.

I read a bit of the current stuff and re joined

Hello Dale!

From: Gifford

Welcome back Dale, good to see you. We met at MoJAM as well. I recall a 'running deer' antler tip on one of your bows. You had a woven bark quiver as well.

You made me a wove back sheath for a Helle knife; Still have it, it's on the wall of my 'shop'.

Anyway, welcome back.

I still have the bark quiver but I broke the carved tip off of that bow, the bow is still good though and I made a newer quiver and retired the old one.
