What size syringe do you recommend for using Loctite 420 ?

I have never purchased syringes and have no clue what to ask for.

I used with very good results insulin syringe - any drugstore has them.

"Need a prescription"

I often find them at the lake when fishing and sometimes tossed in front yard by cars driving to/from the lake.

sad times for sure

with that said I think any insulin needle would suffice

You don't need a prescription for insulin syringes.

They charge you more if you don't have a script. At least the pharmacy I went to told me that when I needed them for allergy shots.

im sure it does cost more over the counter than with a prescription because your insurance inst paying for any of it. that said insulin syringes are cheap either way

I wouldn't recommend picking up syringes and needles from the lake or gutter or anywhere else, what ever you have to pay for a clean one for whatever reason is money well spent. As many people in this country who are type 2 diabetic, most likely you probably know somebody who can hook you up with some for bow work.

I bought a couple of syringes once from CVS. After the girl working the counter acted like I was a user and talked the the pharmacist (who knew me), they sold me a couple of syringes that I assume were for diabetic use. When I tried to use one though, I failed miserably. I was able to suck some loc-tite into the syringe, but it completely loc-ed up the syringe before I could apply it to my bow project. Eventually, after almost glueing my hand to my project, I was able to successfully finish my repair.

My suggestion is to post your question to one of the bow building/repair sites.

The last time I used my 420 I used a syringe I bought at Tractor Supply. They sell them to administer Parvo/7 way shots.

Yes, Tractor Supply or any farm/ ag store that sells vet stuff.

Do a search for “Bob Smith CA no clog pipette”. I feel these are far superior to any syringe. They don’t instantly freeze up, are cheap, safe, and have very fine tips for precise application of glue in very small cracks.
