Hey all.

I need to pick up some feathers. I use the 4 inch, RW, Shield Cut feathers. I usually use the BRIGHTEST colors like chartreuse yellow, chartreuse green and pink.

I am wondering if anyone knows of any deals or good prices on these types of feathers right now. The last I bought was by Bearpaw and they were pretty nice. The prices have went up though and now they are similar to TrueFlight.

If you all don’t mind, please point me in the direction where I can pick up some good feathers at a good price.

Thank you for your help. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Larry

There was a guy on EBay selling repackaged Gateways. There was a thread on here about 6 months ago. I bought 100 from his Ebay store and 100 from his website. Maybe someone recalls his name?

I just took delivery of 100 Ozark Target Maxx feathers which IMO are both very reasonably price at .45 cents ea. ($22.50 for 50) and are also the highest quality feathers I've seen in quite some time. (word on the street is it's because the folks at Ozark own their own turkey farm and don't buy from one)

Nice thick healthy quill bases that are ground very flat and smooth and at very consistent widths...the best I ever seen...

I think shipping was around $7 but that might differ from place to place. If I recall right when I ordered , you get 100 for $25

I ordered from Ozarks line of "Camo" feathers but if their Red Fire motif is any indication of how bright their dyes are then I don't think you'll be disappointed and their "Solid Colors" are a real bargain at .29 cents ea. ($14.50 for 50ct)...

Sometimes there are good prices on e-bay, part lots. Guys buy a bag of 50 or 100, use a dozen and sell the rest.

How do you buy from Ozark? No prices on website or facebook. If I have to call somewhere and talk to a person I'm probably out! haha

Biathlonman...I'm not certain but I think Ozark Feathers may be under exclusive contract with LAS (Lancaster Archery Supply) and they carry the full line of Ozark feathers which come in many styles and colors.

Ordering and checkout is easy.

Brad - just ask somebody to borrow their phone. Ain’t like the old days when every call cost money on an itemized bill....

Ozarks for me, check out their 4” Target Maxx. Bigger cut, lots of feather for it length. Arrowchucker

Thanks guys. I’d like to try those Sagittarius feathers but I prefer the 4 inch Shield cut. I wonder why they don’t carry those? Seems it’s kind of a standard shape and size. Oh well, I’ll have to look and see if they have any other possibilities and look into those Ozark feathers too. The last feathers I got were Bearpaw and their colors and quality were great.

Off to browse a bit and see what’s out there!!

Have a good Sunday all.

If you like 4” get a chopper for $20-30 and buy full length feathers Ya usually can get 2 4” fletching out of a full length feather

Mountain Man is 100% right. That or make some templates to cut your own fletching patterns.
