Great lunch at Fred Bear’s old stomping grounds- Johnny’s Cafe in Omaha, Nebraska in the old stockyard district. Happy to see Wade Phillips and Pete Kocefas again. Great time talking archery and eating red meat.

Now Frank does Mrs. Addington know you're eating all that red meat? :)

Looks like a good time.

Fred Bear and Dick Mauch ate many meals here back in the day.

Frank, That slab of meat looks like it just jumped off the cow! I’d have to have it cooked a little more for my taste! Lance

Frank I gave you a pretty hard time on a thread one day concerning what I felt was appropriate or not appropriate Christian conduct. ( I think the thread was about self promoting) I should have minded my own business and I apologize for judging you. I appreciate what you do for our sport and I hope your shows reach young people for Christ in Nebraska.

Mighty big of you, Ken Williams. We all need to practice some restraint in our responces. I am bad about shooting off my mouth prematurely. Has gotten me bit in the butt many times. That is one reason I do not post here very much. Frank, I love what you are doing with your presentations. Hope to get to see you someday.

Ken: I vageuly recall that thread but please know it was fine. Compared to some comments I used to get by a handful of “cyber bullies” that was no problem at all. I always appreciate a post, good or bad. God gave me a talent and I do try and give Him credit as much as possible but a degree of self promotion comes with the job. It doesn’t mean I’m not humble, it’s the way I promote to keep the Shows booking and name out there. The big picture is that the more shows I do, the more people that can hear my message. Hopefully that message puts a spotlight on God and what He’s done for me and can do for them. That’s the biggest goal and second to promote families spending time together outdoors and taking up archery. Ken you are always welcome in my threads.

Murray, thank you.

BTW, That is a good lookin steak on your plate. About 3 more minutes for me. LOL

As for that steak, I have a niece who is a veterinarian who could bring that one back. I am more of a medium taste myself, although my wife is probably gonna fight Frank for that one.

Juspassin- Got back to Texas last night. Head for Nat Hunting and Fishing Days celebration in West Virginia this weekend.

I’ll post some Nebraska pics. That was a great event!

Frank

Oh, and here’s how I grill red meat in Texas, over mesquite wood charcoal.

My pal Pete Kocefas (“Pete the Greek”) came to Ponca to hang out and we had a great time.

Over 50,000 came to the event.

Frank, That was some stubborn moose, all those arrows and he was still standing...Ha!Ha!

As far as the steak goes, perfect and all that pot liquor it is floating in, I would pour into a cup and drink it or save it to make gravy.

Mesquite is my second best behind hickory.

Good luck on your exhibition as if you needed it, Ha!Ha!

God Bless.

Ron That’s Pete the Greek shooting at the Moose. The Ponca event is Sat and Sun but on Friday they bus in about 1000 kids to go through the various stations. They have a wide variety of events and had a great Teddy Roosevelt re-enactor. Anyway, this was the 14th year of the event and a standing tradition is that on Friday at lunch the archery range adult leaders all empty the arrows into the moose target. I guessed it had maybe 500 arrows?

Anyway, this event is a great way to introduce the next generation into the great outdoors.

Very nice Frank, I hate to be the one who has to pull all those arrows.
