With Frisky’s 14 yard shooting the other day it got me to pondering how I would do with an ASL . I had the opportunity to purchase this 7Lakes a few moths ago after a tip by a fellow L’EWaller and really like it. I used POC’s by Suzanne St Charles for my attempt at matching the great one’s shooting accomplishments. I had one just a little out of center but I think Mr Frisk might be pleased. We’ll see! The bow is 68” and 51#@28”. Thanks for letting me share. Lance

Nicely done. Nothing mysterious about Hill style bows, they shoot just fine.

Great shooting and really nice bow. Hip

You were shooting for a group, so your group should have been 1/2 that size at such close range. I have no choice but to dismiss your effort. Me, on the other hand, was concentrating exclusively on reaching anchor, with no thought given to grouping. I still laid them right in there!

That is some good shooting, and a very good looking bow,if you keep practicing you may one day shoot as good as "The last great bowhunter". Nice shooting Lance

Try as they might, I've learned that there is only 1 Frisky.

From: Knifeguy

And on the other hand I don’t have to worry about reaching my anchor! I’ve been shootin’ as long as you’ve been breathing. Lance

You better get that junker out to Colorado, as Crookedstix emailed me to say he's gonna be lost without old Knifeguy around to assist him!

WB- You're very sagacious!

Frisky UGH. Smells like Cat piss around here and it wasn't me either.

Your not quite there with Frisky. Keep trying, your gett'en close. LoL

From: Dry Bones

I was just thinking that one out may have glanced off the knock of another. Frisky does not have to worry about that. He makes sure to push them in real straight and even. :)

Nah !

don't see knee deep BS around the target

From: RonG

I love it Dry Bones, Lance ignore Frisky, he would say it wasn't any good even if you did five robin hood on top of one arrow.

Great shooting Bud.

You close up guys and groups, it gets annoying and expensive to always be shooting at spitting distance. Really it is no big deal to shoot baseball size groups at twenty yards. Being able to shoot fast and fluid at any and all targets and hit with the first arrow, that is the next step up from this childish group game. That is where that lunker Bear takedown will fail the friskered one and that longbow will shine. Close up grouping is about the same as when a Harley punk rides by people and revs it up to muffler blast people. I think it makes their testicles light up like Christmas lights when they do that. That's what i am seeing here, you guys are just muffler blasting. Do it in the dark to see if anything lights up.

Sorry to all responsible harley riders, yesterday there was a town cop here while I was getting harassed by a couple of punks, I don't think they realized that the other guy that they were pissing off was the town's chief inspector on the police force.

From: Knifeguy
Date: 05-Sep-18

I rarely purposely group my arrows and I can tell you it’s not because I don’t have a Harley! For me it was a chance to see if I repeated my form and release. I was glad that I didn’t bust an arrow too! I normally practice with one arrow at a time, and while walking to retrieve it and return to my mark for shooting I think over the entire process. That’s pretty funny about the cop being harassed. Would have been good to be the mouse in the corner on that one. Lance

PS: Sorry to all the Harley riders too! Not to mention us “muffler blasters’!

Sometimes I go out with a quiver full, then I cuss myself for splattering nocks. With an aluminum arrow the most that happened is the taper gets a gnarl and sometimes i dent an arrow, but woods tend to get chunks nocked out or get the splits when the nock breaks. Maybe that is why Byron keeps it to three arrows per end. Really, how manly it to crank on a throttle with open pipes, it proves nothing other than the driver of the motorcycle is a rude lunkhead. The cop suggested the value of one of my high powered slingshots in such a situation.

Been called a lot of things, I’ll add rude lunkhead to the list.

From: dean
Date: 05-Sep-18

You come by my house a intentionally muffler blast me when i am shooting, I can call anyone a lot worst things than that.

From: dean
Date: 05-Sep-18

I hear that Harley is threatening to move to overseas, no loss, no one needs a slow short trip noisy oil leaking poppin two wheeled Johnny Deer like that anyway. Just kidding, but Frisky needs a hunting Harley with real mufflers to sneak him to the edge of town where all of the friendly deer hangout. In all seriousness, there are quite a few deer just outside of Austin.

Better tighten that group up if you want to be like Frisky!;)

South Farm- You have that right! He has all of those pretty arrows in a crappy group!

X2 Boxcall, but don’t tell Frisky! Shhhhhhh...Lance

From: Frisky

There they go again! Trying to butter me up for the surprise attack! I'm supposed to be getting a phone call from Crookedstix tonight. I'll share this "wealth of knowledge," as I think something might be up with him. He has been fairly silent with us as he drives to his destination. Of course, I might miss the call, as the skies are finally clearing, and I want to put in night number 98 since first light with my scope on March 17th.

OMG! That is too funny Jim! A new male model is born. LOL! Lance

From: Frisky
Date: 14-Sep-18

Don't laugh. For a few minutes of my life, I was a suit model for a downtown Mankato clothing store. They ran the commercial for two years while I was in college. The store owner approached me, as I was being fitted for my brother's wedding, and said I was the perfect suit model and asked me to be in the commercial. So, how many of you can say that!

Joe

From: Lost arrow
Date: 14-Sep-18

Sorry, being a suit model has never been on my bucket list. Probably wouldn’t tell it if I did. Is the store still in business?

From: Knifeguy

Just you, it looks like. Must have been an interesting life experience for you. Lance

From: dean

You would think that a high paid suit model could afford a real telescope.

From: Frisky
Date: 15-Sep-18

I was out tonight with my telescope. Looked at all kinds of stuff, including the Ring Nebula, Wild Duck Cluster, M56, the Epsilon double double and so on.

From: GF

You’d better back up a little there, Lance - those arrows are too nice to get all shot up!

And so now I know what’s wrong with ol’ Frisky here... ‘cuz everybody knows that all the finest educational institutions in MN lie EAST of I-35.

BTW, Joe - I once “interviewed” with a gal from a modeling agency... She said I had the ideal chest and waist measurements.... but I was 8”-10” too short!

Still am, come to think of it....

Old guys get paid more money to model Depends than young guys get for suits. I would have done it if they came in party colors or camouflage.

Those aren't suit models! If you can't model a tux, stay on the porch!

I was modeling a nuclear submarine. It don't fit on the porch.

From: Frisky

Ok. I'll give you credit for modeling a sub. However, you weren't in a TV commercial, so it wasn't up to snuff with my tux modeling.

All the male models are supposed to be a little funny, not Ha Ha funny.
