So I have had great success with eskimos and eskilite I am looking at trying the no mercy double bevel and the delta. I'm just wondering which zwickey is your favorite and why?

From: Jim Casto Jr

I used 2-blade Delta's for years--kilt lots of critters with them. Easy to sharpen, fly true and make a nice "big" cut. Killed multiple critters with the same head on many occasions.

As the years past and I lowered weight I went to Grizzly's due to the less width for (what I thought was) better penetration. Don't know if that's the case or not, but I'm comfortable with them. Kilt lots of critters with them too. :^)

My go to is the Eskimo, but only because I shot them first and had great results. I may look into the 4 blade delta in the future, just to try something different.

The Delta is a great head. I don't care for single bevel heads. Just my $.02

From: PEARL DRUMS

The Delta is a good bit wider. I shot a few deer with them and it seems the arrow didn't penetrate as well as the Eskimos. But, there are a million variables to that. In the end, Id suggest sticking with Eskimos because you and a lot of us know they work :). You just cant beat good old fashioned experience when it comes to advice.

A sharp one. I like the eskimos.

The biggest Zwickey....Delta. Proven. Tough.

Delta 2 blade, great penetration and blood trails.

I shot Deltas for about 40 years, mostly 4-blade, but also some 2-blades. Though I'm also using some three-blade and single bevel heads now, I will always have at least one Zwickey Delta in my quiver. If I had to choose one broadhead to finish out my days, it would be the Delta.

Eskimos are in my quiver with my woodsman. Eskimos are easy to sharpen and do the job.

From: Andy Man

Eskimo,Delta , no mercy; the actual killing difference between them is probably much less than your shot placement

Have had good luck with both the Eskimo and the No Mercy (have not used the Delta

Still my Favorite is the ACE Standard but in reality likely no better than the other 3

just what you have confidince in and will fly for you good

Mr Casto echoed my exact situation...lol.

I've still got a goodly collection of Deltas, and won't hesitate to toss em in my quiver...but I've had great results with Grizzly too.

Agree with Orion. Big delta 4 blade. I went from 65 pounds down to 51. Still zip thru critters.

I have 4 bld Deltas and Eskimos. Also have some 2 bld Eskimos. I prefer the 4 blds because they have never failed to leave a good blood trail.

I like the no mercy single bevel I find the single bevel easier to sharpen. I don't get into the rotation & s cut thing but they do split bone. and the no mercy is a good compromise I.m.o. between the Eskimo & delta

From: ottertails

The big Delta is what I started out with, still one of my three top favorite's, I never had a long tracking job with it, mostly pass throughs. I used the Eskimos for my sons arrows both 2 blade and 4. We've never damaged a one. My oldest son took his first deer with that 5/16ths Eskimo/Eskilite.

I bought some No Mercy heads (double bevel) when they first came out and have yet to try them.... basically a touch longer, less wide Delta imo.

A proven quality head,,,and at a reasonable, fair price!

Hey Bulls & Bucks...shoot me a PM. I think I have a couple of extra No Mercy broadheads around here, if you're interested...

Use 2 blade deltas currently and for last 30+ years....when something works really well for me I just stick with it Easy to sharpen and make a wide cut

Zwickey Delta 4 blade. Bleeds big Alaskan moose real well.

Eskimo 4 blades for me, my bows are all 45-48lb draw weights. Blood trails for deer and elk are excellent. Can't beat a zwickey. This was my sons first blood trailing experience, eskimos made it easy for him. If you look close, you can see the mule deer in the background. He was looking at the blood on the rocks and hadn't noticed the deer yet.

I have killed deer with 4 blade Delta and 4 blade Eskimos. Good blood trails and penetration from both. Use Deltas mostly, just like the look better. A friend I shoot with has a granddaaughter that killed a 150-200lb wild boar with a 34lb recurve and a 4bl Eskimo. Arrow tip started out of other side, shot threw shield.

I used the Cliff Zwickey's last year and I really liked them. I killed 2 deer with them. I could see red spraying out of both as they took off. Neither one made it more than 40 yards after the shot. One even went through a rib in line with it. I was very impressed.

I use 5/16 shafts so I use the Esklites. Perfect combo.

A file sharpened Delta is a vicious killing tool. In time the after a few sharpening the concave edge gets more pronounced.

From: N. Y. Yankee

Osage, you musta made that up! The three blade guys say 2 blade heads don't leave a blood trail!

From: Osage Outlaw
Date: 22-Aug-18

Yankee, nothing made up there. A 2 blade through the kill zone will leave a 3' wide red trail for you to follow. The bow that I used is 55@28 but I'm only drawing 24"-25".

Deltas for 30 years or so, never even tried the others, I’ve shot 4 blade deltas quite a bit but can’t get them as sharp as a 2 blade so I usually grind off the bleeder

I’ve killed critters with all of zwickey’s models except the “cliff”. They all do a fine job. I’ve often wondered what will become of zwickey heads when Mr. Jack has gone on to Glory. Is there anybody to carry on?

Back in the day it was Delta's now it's no mercies for me
