Hi PEOPLES,...What kind of head-gear etc., do most of Y'ALL use BEFORE the weather gets bone-chilling COLD? Base-ball caps or something similar? Any of Y'ALL head out hunting with nothing but hair up top? I'm sure that for THOSE who get winter-wonder-land, that fur lined hats / caps get quickly grabbed up. Just curious? BLESSED BE!

Danny made me a nice lightweight, old style camo hat so I'll be using it in early season.

My old school bucket hat I had since the 1970s. It still works good. :)

I will wear this one and also my regular camo ball caps. I have had this this thing on my head all summer and washed it many many times . It’s almost right now, I have been working on fading it out. Will try and get a pic of how it looks now. I like all my camo to be faded .

One of my issued Army patrol hats I wear in the early season courtesy of the U.S. Army. I still have two patrol hats ( one regular and one light weight ), two boonies, one short brim boonie, one pile cap.

I wear the same couple of hats all year. When it gets cold I just put a knit hat over them. I have to have a hat with a brim to shade my eyes.

Early season on the left, late season on the right. I have always preferred brimmed hats to ball caps, and the fedora style with a brim less than 3" doesn't interfere with my string on any draw.

Great Photos! Keep 'um going!

Doo-Rag, Short Brimmed boonie, or Ball cap. Any of the above can and will work, sometimes it just depends on how darn hot it is to what I put on my head. We don't get to many bone chilling days around here.

Only use three...from warm, to cold, to COLD! Lol.

In the past I have used a vented short brim bucket hat. I was fortunate to get Dan's prototype short brim patrol cap. Unbelievably light weight. I will be using it this year for sure.

Usually just the ReconWrap, but a fleece watch cap for a dip in the temperature. As it gets colder, a second fleece watch cap with ear flaps does the job.

Same old "bowhunter's" wire brimmed hat. Wear it all year.
