They are great bows. A buddy of mine has one that is the green and black two tone riser bows . It is my favorite one I have ever shot. Like the grip and seems to really zip an arrow. Not sure what year they made them that color.

I have a '77 or possibly a late '76 with the GR serial number on it. The two tone Grizzlys were made in 'random' color combinations from '73 to '77. bvd

I love the grizzlys...I used to collect them...believe it or not the newer Grizzlys are extremely smooth...double that for the new super grizzlys. I sold off my last two earlier this summer and just bought a 1966 last night. The grizzly is by far One of my most favorite bear ever made. And they are cheap to collect compared to other models

Me! There's a 1965 zebrawood at 50 pounds on my bow rack.

Bought one new in 1969.Traded it in on a compound.Tried to get it back. No luck.Still regret that.Nice grip, right size for hunting , quiet, and smooth shooting bow.Now i have a 45lb. Bear Black Tail. and a 42lb 1964 kodiak. Both nice bows. The white Tail reminds me of the Grizzly. All very nice bows.My Grizzly was like the one on the left above.Brings back nice memories when a see those bows.CLASSICS.

How many Grizzly bows? One source said that the Grizzly started production in 1951 and they are still produced, so there must be a ton of them out there. I bought mine in 1976 for $40. I see it as the Dodge Dart of archery; nothing flash but always there ready to go. I think I said it was the 30/30 of archery the last time.

I've seen some used ones for around $150. The new ones cost almost as much as a custom reflex/deflex Kanati and some others.

I have a 67 Grizzly (birth year) and a early 70”s like posted above. They are great shooting bows.

From: Kodiak

I had a 1964 zebra model and it was one of the finest bows I've ever shot, period.

Like an idiot I sold it in a fit of stupidity.

From: Dry Bones
Date: 19-Aug-18

I have had a few and are good shooting bows. The 63 model handles a little different, but still feels good at the shot.

Nemophilist should have never let my green and brown Grizzly go when I left Michigan. A great go to bow. John

This is my third and oldest Grizzly. A 58. 62" 51# @ 28". I liked them all.

I shoot a newer super grizzly

From: TGbow

I have a 78 model I bought in high school and another mid 70s model. They are smooth pulling for a 58 inch bow, no stack at all. They shoot good with a BCYX string.

From: hawkwing

Was the Grizzly the bow they called, the "Working Man's Bow"?

I had a 56" Grizzly bought out of window of second hand store. 10 dollars. It was very easy to shoot and I do not remember drawing back into trouble at my 29" draw length. I was maybe shooting the best ever . A friend in the club called me "Sharp Shooter" after I could hit pop cans at 20 yards.

Have several of the older 62" models.. The 1959 is my favorite and it has a history that comes with it..

I have two 70lb Grizzleys. One is a '69 and one is early to mid 70's. Have killed with both of these bows. My shoulders won't let me shoot them anymore. Probably could be talked into selling them if anyone is interested.

From: nowheels

I have 2 '65 lefties. They are great bows. I hope to kill something with at least one of them this fall.

I guess I may as well chime in also. I have 6 Grizzley's, however, I don't shoot them that much, have other bows that I would rather hunt with.

‘64 Zebra wood 50#. I love my ASL’s but that grizz shoots like a dream!!!

From: BOWNUT

I have a 68. My second bow.

From: Jon Stewart
Date: 20-Aug-18

I have a left handed 45# Grizzly. Brown glass on the limbs, brown and green riser with a raise coin. It's in decent shape but it's left handed. will probably trade it off one day for a right hander.
