Yo! PEOPLES! Friend and fellow WALLER named GRIZZ PM'd about a tragedy in his area? Another reason to go hawg-hunting. Kill them before they kill YOU! Poor fella in a truck encountered a 7 footer. Totaled the truck and killed the driver. Admittedly... a 7 foot hawg is unusual but even the avg size can be deadly for a car or a truck. Seems that I've heard that running into a hawg with car or truck can be bad or worse? Time to sharpen up the broad-heads and reduce the population. Just sayin'

Broadheads don't put much of a dent in the hog population. I love to hunt and eat them though. If I were defending my own property,I would use much more than a bow.>>>----> Ken

Any reason to grab a bow and head to the woods is a good reason for me!

List of good reasons to grab a bow: 1) not good to run over / I to them 1) oinkers taste good 1) why not go to the woods with you bow. 1) it is fun 1) it makes you a better hunter

Pick your #1 reason and grab your bow!

Folks hitting hogs is pretty common around y part of the world.

The don't typically do any more, or less damage then hitting a deer.

And was said, bowhunting them isn't going to have any siginifcant affect on their numbers.

Harass them plenty with your bow. When I go I carry an M1 carbine with several full mags. After deer season I am going to host a swine soiree at my place in Texas that is surrounded by national forest. I have invited members of my veterans group. The young ones will conduct search hand destroy operations in the area and us old guys will keep the bbq, beans, and tacos going. I can't hardly drive my tractor on the place for the damage they have done.

I’m sure that the Batman wasn’t insinuating that bowhunters would solve the country’s hog problem. I picked up what he was putting down- go hunt hogs: we hit a big old sow one morning while riding the school bus. It through everyone from their seats into the floorboard. Quite a collision.

Hi PEOPLES. If a bow is Your thing then by all means grab it up and GETTUM GO after the hogs. I'm not sure if land-owners are all that happy about people using the noisy toys? And a big problem about the piggys is a case of put hunting pressure on them and they go nocturnal or move out? Do WHAT-EVER Yuh can to take them down! BLESSED BE!

Way more hogs are hunted with guns than with bows, and there has been no reduction of their numbers.

I heard that they caused way worse damage to cars than deer, but thankfully, I have no first hand knowledge.

The Weather Channel has been showing a documentary on computerized feeders and special feed to get rid of hogs, in Texas The feeder recognizes the sound the hogs make and lets down the feed. Any other animals that come to it are repelled by an electric shock. I think there may be a court case involving the chemical that is used in the feed, though. bvd
